Red Wing Heritage Men's Weekender Oxford Work Shoe

Great pair of shoes, good quality material, and sure to last a long time. Inside the shoe are arches that’s not obvious to the naked eye until worn. When worn, it’s initially stiff, then soften as you use it. I use my shoes with wool socks and it seems to fits well. It fits best with dress socks.

These shoes are fantastic. They LOOK to be very high quality. Time will tell if they live up to the typical Red Wing longevity. I typically wear a 10M-10.5M. I got these shoes in 9.5M and they are perfect. The insoles are very comfortable (I am on my feet much of the day). The leather is surprisingly soft and comfortable from the beginning. I almost want to order a 2nd pair to hold on to in case Red Wing ever stops making these. I've given up on the crappy $80-$100 made in "insert developing country" fake leather with glued on sole shoes. These shoes breath so much better than most of my shoes because they are full grain natural leather.

I got these as my 10th pair of Red Wings. They are quite different. They are part of the heritage line, but dont have an insole that molds to your feet, even though it was made like the heritage line that has them, meaning the added insole leaves very little room. Thats fixed by taking them out, but I do that in all shoes because I have flatter feet and insoles weaken your muscles. I quickly realized these are among the largest Red Wing shoes. I normally wear a 10d, but a 9 or 9.5 in the heritage line. I got these in the 9d. They fit well at the vamp, but give me more toe room than clown shoes. Fortunately, I always like extra toe room because my feet like freedom. Unfortunately, because the leather is so thin and light, it immediately bends and pinches my toe. Other than that, they are high quality, comfy, and look absolutely stylish.After a little bit of walking around the house, I found that my toes keep getting pinched. The leather is so light and thin that just having 3/4" beyond my toes makes it flex into them.

I typically wear 9.5 or 10s in Sketchers. I have bought a pair of Sketchers for work every year for a very long time. I work in a research lab and have to have leather shoes. I was really sick of wearing holes in my shoes and having the soles come unglued and the leather falling apart after a year and decided to spend some extra Christmas money on a nice pair of shoes for a change. These were on sale for $137.99 in 8.5 (most reviewers say to order a full size down) and it was a great choice. They seemed like they would be too small at first, gripping the sides of my feet very snugly but they were clearly long enough for my feet. After wearing them for about 3 days they are more and more comfortable every time I put them on. This is the first pair of shoes that I have not felt the need to by a separate insole for. The insole from the factory is very firm compared to what I am used to but the arch support is perfect. I also like how these are molding to my feet and I really don't feel the need to tighten the laces too much as the fit is so nice. If you order a size down and they feel snug, give it a chance because you generally have a good length of time you can return them and as long as you have toe room the rest of the leather should form around your foot. I plan on keeping these shoes as long as I am able to as I just love how they feel on my feet.1 YEAR UPDATEI wore these every day for 11 months solid until I decided I wanted them to last me as long as possible and grabbed a pair of work Chukkas and iron rangers. These are amazingly comfortable shoes. Mine are now living a permanent life at my lab where I wear them every day and then switch out before going home. When I put them on I feel like I've put on a pair of house slippers at this point. They have an unstructured toe so be sure to keep shoe trees in them and also make sure to keep them conditioned. The soles are wearing fairly quickly but I also wear them a ton so probably not as worn as I expected after a year. I will definitely be keeping these well cared for and resoled when they wear down. They are a great introduction to the red wing brand and have gotten me hooked for life. I have added three updated pictures so you can see how they've aged.

Was hoping for a quality shoe. The sole has already started to come off. Will take to RedWings store and see if they will glue back. Very disappointed in this shoe.

Great shoe ! Made the way shoes should be made. Very large though I normally wear a 10.5 or an 11 depending on the shoe. This pair I had to get a 10.Be forewarned, these shoes are straight up leather, and they will require some breaking in. They are not super comfortable at first but I have worn mine all weekend and they are good now and getting better. This is my second pair of shoes from red wing's heritage collection, and I truly think they are the best made "classic" style shoes that you can get on the market. The price is steep but when you see the quality of leather you will see that they are heads and tails above their competition. They are far and away better quality than even other all leather constructed shoes that are similarly priced, like Frye and Oliberte. (Brands I have had experience with)I gave them 4 stars for two reasons. 1 the sizing issue. These are obviously oversized. (And that's not just me talking. Order at least a half size smaller to start)2 I would like to see the eyelets reinforced with something. I know that's going away from the classic design but I just know that the cut hole eyelets will fail first in a shoe that could very well last a person 20 years if they are well taken care of and resoled periodically.PS the picture is of the shoes after 3 days of use. As you can see they quickly take on a well worn look. Which I like :)

This is the third pair due to the sizing being off. Normally I wear a 12 in Red Wing Chukka Work boots. The 12 in these was too big - returned and got the 11.5....still too big - finally got the 11’s. Perfect fit! Great quality and style. I also ordered the Red Wing Postman version but in size 12 (it actually is true to size). Liked these better as they are more ‘relaxed’ looking. The construction is solid and they are just what I was looking for. Just make sure you order 1 size smaller and all should be good.

Shoe is excellent with only a couple personal gripes.- 1 section of the shoe has a very noticeable napping texture that is fully inconsistent with the rest of the shoes.- the pair received did not include eyelets.I normally wear size 11 shoes and ordered 10 for these. It was initially snug but has stretched out and is fine now. I think 10.5 would have been more suitable for me.Overal, im very happy with the shoes!

a little large so sent it back. im half to blame i should heeded red wing advice that it runs half a size large. but it will always be my favourite. the best.
