Great for supporting exploration and learning.
Delighted a five year old who had asked for a globe to link news events she was picking up on with where it was happening.

Brilliant gift
Got this for my boyfriend for christmas and he loves it, however there is a slight damage on the globe itself as it seems to have peeled off abit. But it is only obvious when lit up.

Attractive with a nice light
The globe is attractive, very useful and emits a pleasant light. Don't go being heavy-handed with it, though, because it's all plastic.

Not a National Geographic Globe
The product is advertised as a National Geographic globe but it came in a plain box and is not a branded item.

A similar globe only cost £12.99 at Lidl.

This Earth does not spin on its axis for me.
Bought this as one of our Xmas gifts for my grandson,( aged 10) and he is pleased with it.However, having now seen it opened, assembled and in use, I have to say I was unimpressed with the overall quality of the globe. It seems very lightweight indeed in all aspects of manufacture.and does not rotate as freely as I imagined it would, and is so stiff, that if you try to rotate the globe even a slight amount, it will topple over. Therefore, you need to hold down the base with one hand and rotate the globe with the other hand.I naively trusted that by opting for a branded ' National Geographic', globe (at £40.00), the product would have been of a much better quality. To rub salt in the wound, I subsequently found an illuminated globe, which appeared identical in all respects, on sale at the normal price of £12.99 at 'Lidl ( namely one third of the price I paid). Conclusion, same item, in every respect, same quality, except with a 66% price hike, for the sake of a name.

Bulb immediately broke
The lightbulb immediately broke and is impossible to replace - it can't be bought in any normal shop. Very disappointed. And the globe comes on an ugly plastic base. Would not buy this again.
