Downhill tires on a hardtail XC, who cares!
These 29er plus tire look good on the bike and they grip too. Ride them in any terrain and they’ll eat it up. 29x3.0” tubeless setup on my XC hardtail. They barely fit but it works on my setup. Since I’m just a regular dude with a bike and not a pro or anything I like these tire for the look and the grip. I don’t care about speed or big jumps. I ride the trails mainly for fitness and the fun that I get out of it. These tires have been great with no issues so far.

Very Happy
First of all, love Prime same day delivery!I got this for my Trek Stache 5. I am actually using it for a front tire. Feels great so far. Seems to stick much better than the Bonty Chupra that came with bike. I live in SoCal and ride lots of loose over hard pack terrain and I feel a lot more confident with this up front. I have done several rides with this tire now, including one this morning where I set several PRs on Strava going both up and down. Like others mentioned, tubless set up is VERY easy, not at all like the Chupra. Very happy I got this.

Typical Maxxis Quality
I have been a Maxxis user for a long time. So I thought I would try them on my 29+

Product Description Not Completely Accurate
The product description is for a Maxxis EXO 120TPI Minion DHR2 Folding 3C Maxx Terra Tubeless Ready Tire (Maxxis part number ETB96835200). The actual product I received is a Maxxis EXO 60TPI Minion DHR2 Folding Dual Compound Tubeless Ready Tire (Maxxis part number ETB96835100). The Maxx Terra tire is a little lighter and the rubber is a little softer. I'll mount 'em and rip 'em as the tires are not worth returning. However, the seller should revise the description or ship the correct item. Still a good tire.

Poor packaging, install problems.
First of all, the seller was amazing and I had these tires the next day. The low rating is based on the quality of this tire. For some reason Maxxis decides to clamp these down with a zip tie tighter than a ratchet strap. Which caused the sidewall to become essentially damaged to the point I cannot inflate the tire tubeless. These are on sunringle duroc 50mm wheels. They are tubeless ready wheels and tires. I installed a tube to seat it ect and I still cannot get it setup tubeless. I didn’t pay $90 for this much hassle. This is my first and last Maxxis tire, I realize they don’t care what I think but I’m sticking to Bontrager. I’ve never had this happen before, at this point I am not impressed whatsoever.
