An absolutely amazing series!
I love this series by Lyx Robinson SO MUCH! I cannot wait for the next installment. I'm trying to wait patiently. The series is called The Viking Omegaverse. If you love enemies-to-lovers, touch-her-and-you-die, alphaholes, RH, strong female main characters, and sexy Viking men then this series is most definitely for you.The series is now available in paperback on Amazon! It is also available on Kindle Unlimited!

I loved this Viking/Celtic OV, despite some issues
3.5 StarsDespite the captivating start to this book, I deliberated over my rating. The first few chapters gave this story a sluggish start, maybe in part due to the effort I needed to grasp the different ethnic and cultural factions, and get a fix on the geographical locations. Mostly, though, the slow start seemed due to Thrain and Tamsin, the hero and heroine, not meeting until well into the story, perhaps a quarter of the way into it. I realize the full scene needed to be set before bringing the main characters into it in a way many contemporary romance books don’t require. Yet, doing so created some dissatisfaction I couldn’t shake. The author’s attention to detail was remarkable. Even at the steady pace her storyline kept, the author crammed as much detail into the plot as we needed; as much as we could want. This world is very well-fleshed out. In one enthralling scene, you can visualize Tamsin amongst the other unwed Daughters of Clota, dancing gracefully under the influence of their heat. They moved sinuously in a circle around the “Cursed Boys” in the firelight and under the light of the full-moon. It was beautiful and impactful writing. And there were many more such scenes—some happy, some horrifying—the author used to enthrall us.I liked Tamsin, yet I was also a little disappointed in her. She fought like a she-wolf when she learned she and the others had been betrayed. And when Tamsin discovered her “Monk’s” true identity, I burst into tears for her. I admit I applauded her reaction when he demanded to have the dagger back from her. Served him right! But she was of royal blood and she often acted like it too. I guess it is an expected way for a young princess to behave but, for a heroine I wanted to cheer for and love, I thought her nose was often a little too high in the air. She was pretentious at times, and often so toward Thrain, unless she was trying to pressure him into doing things she wanted, then she pleaded quite prettily. She sometimes seemed shallow. Maybe she lacked maturity.Apart from being one of the hated enemies, Thrain is otherwise a careful, caring and honorable man. He is infinitely patient with Tamsin. When Thrain so tenderly treated her self-inflicted injuries I cried for him; he was so protective, so despondent in his hopeless love for her. This would have been a 5-star book for me. But I was disappointed at the glacial development of the main characters’ relationship. I felt the author should have brought them together before the end of the book. I subtracted a star for that. When I arrived at the very end of the book and nothing else was resolved either, I realized this was a cliffhanger and that a 2nd book is coming. I took another half-star off for that. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the story thus far and I am looking forward to the rest of the series. Thanks be!—at least the author did give us an idea of where the story heads from here in her Prologue. 3.5 Stars.

The slowest of burns - The most delicious angst!
5/5 starsGenre: A slow burn, Viking OV (eventual) RHAudience: For those interested in political intrigue, the found family trope, forced proximity, the most delicious of slow-burns, and enemies to lovers type books.Book 1 of 6Spice: 🌶️🌶️/5. There are some scorching scenes, but it’s not the main focus. On-page, explicit scenes are present. Before I get into the nitty gritty of my review I just wanted to clarify some confusion I’ve noticed in other reviews. This is a slow-burn romance with an eventual RH (meaning book one is M/F, book two is MFM, book 2.5 is M/M, and in book three we start to see MMFM). If you are looking for a quick read full of smut, this isn’t it. However, if you are open to reading a story about a woman discovering herself once freed from religious trauma while navigating her Vanirdottir (omega) instincts amongst a warring band of Vyrgen (Alpha) Vikings, then this book is a must-read.Set in the late 800’s of Scotland, Stolen by the Wolves is a high fantasy, omegaverse (OV) steeped in Irish/British/Norse lore. Our FMC, Tamsin, is facing the harsh realities of an alliance betrothal while grappling with the anxieties of her brother facing his coming-of-age trials. While atoning for her Vanirdottir nature, Tamsin encounters a monk that she has an unexplainable draw towards. Within the comfort of his arms, Tamsin finds peace that her faith has never provided. However, the peace is short lived as her best laid plans may cost her too high of a price. What I enjoyed:-The unique OV system as the Britons believe their nature is something to be repressed vs the Vikings perspective of their nature being something to respect and revel in.-Tamsin and Thrain’s relationship dynamic is complex. The angst is immaculate!-Tamsin has relatable reactions to trauma.Cons:-The first time I read this book I was confused by it being labeled an RH when it was clearly an M/F situation. After reading the other books I promise you that the slow development of the RH is worth it! The complexities and dynamics of each relationship is given time to develop which adds significantly more weight and meaning when they do join with Tamsin.Spoilers ahead due to Trigger warnings!Triggers: religious trauma, attempted r*pe (by non-MC towards FMC), self-flagellation, talks about death of loved ones, and depictions of war and death.

OMG So good!!!
I honestly really like the start of this series, but I found myself feeling very confused about the language, names, etc. It almost feels like I needed to keep a note pad near by to create a reference and definitions. BUT, I did genuinely enjoy the concept, characters, world building, the whole nine yards. Now, take this with a grain of salt as I’m not very familiar with Viking terminologies, so I’m behind the curve a bit. One thing to note, I do feel like the entire purpose to the first book is character introductions, world building, and plot set up. Still so yummy though.

Absolutely fantastic
This is a very nice start to the story, lays the groundwork, introduces everyone, sprinkles on a little spice. But guys, you need to read this book because you NEED to read the second book! Book one prepares you to get your socks absolutely knocked off by book two!!! If you know what the omegaverse is, you will be incredibly impressed by how this story uses that framework and breathes new life into the concept, making it utterly new and interesting. If you don't know what it is, you'll be fine anyways! All the info you need plays out in the story. Can't wait for book three!!

I would choose you even in daylight.
The moon governs you,” I remind us both. “Like it governs me.”“The moon readies me for anyone,” she whispers. “But I am choosing you. I would choose you even in daylight.”』⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫/5Unbelievable…i started this book thinking os just usual romance book with some smut, but i received beginning of the nice and interesting fantasy romance. (At lest i got this vibes). In the book two MC are introduced to us and we are looking at ‘curse’ from opposite sides.Tamsin is a girl who was raised knowing that her curse is a curse and that she must do everything so God (Catholic) will save her lands, even sacrifice her brother is necessary.Thrain is a warrior who believes that curse is a blessing.Suddenly their paths crossed and fun began. In story we are also getting political story of Norman-Briton relationship in year 870.

A fresh new take with lots of lore and worldbuilding!
The genre itself is super interesting to me. I love when authors are taking fresh takes on it, and Lyx quite certainly successes with that! She exceeded my expectations BY FAR with her excellent world-building (that never gets boring by the way!) and the characters are well-rounded and their motivations make sense from the first moment you meet them in the story.I think saying this is "just" an erotic novel doesn't do this story justice by the way.It is so much more than that, there is so much lore and worldbuilding going on that you would not necessarily expect from the genre. And I am glad that Lyx went the extra mile since this genre is so promising once an author actually dares to put the extra work into it!Besides all of this, the story does also tap deeply into the ways humans are dealing with sexuality and intimacy in general. And what happens when you lie to people and do not allow them to be themselves/ explore themselves and learn things that should be normal, even if they are of "that" nature.Intimacy is something that has been rejected to many of the characters in this story. Their adult personalities are a result of that neglect and it is showing how this did more bad than good to them.We are rooting with them because we can clearly see how they are living in an unjust system, and I am eagerly waiting for them to turn it on its head/ turn it over!PS: I discovered this author through a different platform and was lucky enough to take an early peek at this project before it was published. :) I am rooting wholeheartedly for your second book, Lyx, even if it took me a moment to write this review!!! <3

WOW
This was AMAZING! I think it’s the first entirely believable omegaverse I’ve ever read, for it perfectly blends historical Britannia with fantasy. I couldn’t put this book down, and I’m excited to binge the second right away. The cast of characters was amazing, the female lead entirely relatable and the male lead respectable. Not to mention the COVER. I wish I could give this 10 stars.

A Book Must Never Be Judged By Its Cover!
Ok my take on this read…Great story plot. I enjoyed it tremendously. A teeny bit confusing or shall I say; the story in the first few chapters felt all over the place, with the character development of many, for the first 10% of reading. However, that’s about to drastically change, as we get familiar with who is who. One gets that stirring /bubbly excitement of a knowing, (like wait a minute) we might potentially have a gem of a read at our finger tips. (Grin)It’s a slow burn (not to many’s tastes) and yet the story is phenomenally good (unexpectedly) with a budding romance blossoming and high suspense! This take on the OV genre is really well thought out & because of that, it makes this work of fiction very exciting.I was glued to the pages, wondering; where this story could possibly go. Never quite seeing around the bend. And that feeling of not being able to guess or see the plot unraveling when you read a book is, always a good feeling. Cliffhanger (not a major one) but, a decent well rounded conclusion to this leg of the story…I am looking forward to how or where the author is going to take this romance, as I can’t tell if she might include a RH or just keep it M/F. As per memorable secondary characters, added a nice touch to giving this story real concrete depth. To me it felt like she’s laying some serious plot foundation for what’s to come. And I can appreciate her intentions more, for there’s nothing worse than a rushed story situations or instant love or overtly eager smut.I’m here for it, I really don’t care how slow this burn might be, there is that expectation of scorcher soon to engulf. And besides I haven’t enjoyed a good story in an age. So this was a very welcome addition. There is a definite attraction, desire & appreciation between the two main characters, with a big story & secondary characters, to help them to develop their interests for each other at a pleasurable & more plausible pace. Actually, a believable story with fact & fiction blending effortlessly, which allow the reader to be more emotionally invested in the characters.Ps• don’t let this books cover & spares synopses have you pass it by.It’s a worthwhile read. Way better than most OV stories out here.On to book #2Happy Reading 💕
