Mini House: The Enchanted Castle (Mini House Book)

I like the presentation of the book. The story is a modified version of Sleeping Beauty. It’s from 1995. The story will not have a strong female lead and relies on a prince’s kiss to wake up though the fairy is the one sets up the prince for success.I thought the book would be more interactive but the main interest are the super thick cardboard pages cut out into different shapes. I think kids would have fun with that and looking for all the little details of the anthropomorphic cats.I think this is a pretty durable book but if it gets thrown by a 2-year-old it might hurt.

I purchased this as a baby gift for one of my friends baby shower. My daughter had gotten one for her kids and I knew that this would be a perfect present. It is absolutely precious. I plan on purchasing other titles now as well.

On the right is my very loved childhood book You can tell was very loved ! The left is the new one !! So colorful not all bent and a perfect gift for my girls !! And I just found out their is a few other ones but this castle is a hit with my 4 and 6 year old !

I can not review how children might take to this book, as my daughter, Cailyn, is only 7 weeks old. I can, however, vouch for it's overall design and layout. We purchased this as a decorative item for Cailyn's nursery after seeing one in a baby boutique [at almost double the price]. Never-the-less, for newborn or for an older child, this is an nicely made product that I can easily see a child spending time delicately looking at each scene. There is a lot of detail in the artwork on each page. I can imagine making a fun game of "what is this person doing" or "what does that do" to help train my child to think critically.As for overall build, the pages are made from some sort of cardboard/paper mix which are nice and thick. The hinge which would typically be the spine of a normal book is sorta like duct tape in that it has threading that provides reinforcement to prevent it from tearing. I can see the little tab that locks the book closed wearing out with excessive use, but what do you expect from paper? For the price, it's worth replacing if you have to.This just looks stunning on a shelf or bookcase, as it truly adds an extra dimension to your nursery. Perfect for so many themes such as fantasy, princesses, dragons, knights, and so much more.I need to take the time and photograph the actual product and upload them, hopefully you'll see them up soon!Overall: WELL worth the money.

I bought these books because they will be fun to enjoy with my grand-daughter AND they could make a great gift. They are very sturdy and colorful, easy to turn the pages and just so fun to look at!! The die-cut pages are what make these books so whimsical. Be careful though, my books were shipped in a flimsy envelope, and one was damaged.

Such a creative board book physically - too bad they didn't write a great story to go along with it.

While I totally love the idea behind these 3D books, my child isnt too interested in them right now (18-20 months). You never know what your child will like or when, so I am keeping them and will pull them out in a few weeks and try again. The door tab actually broke off when my husband was playing with it.

My four year old grandson absolutely loves all of these Mini books. He has a playroom full of lots and lots of toys (only child, first grand on one side) but he leaves them to enjoy a new Mini whenever he gets one and they remain a favorite to sit and enjoy .

I got this for my little one as a Christmas gift. It is so sweet and interactive with all the different shapes pages and peek a boos. I’m keeping this one as a keepsake for the years to come, or buying another as a back up if this one is too “loved”

Purchased for a friends 2 year old daughter, she loved it so much she took it to bed with her.

This is a very interesting book.. My daughter is 18 months old and she enjoys browsing through the book...

Purchased as a stocking stuffer and am really impressed with the quality of the book. The pages are very sturdy board book, but thicker than your typical board book. The detail is astounding. I love that it actually closes with a clasp.
