No complaints about this one. A bit of head scratching when it turned up - no instructions, but other buyers have given enough tips on their feedback to get started. Found reducers for the inlet and outlet ports at Screwfix (50mm to 32mm waste pipe) costing £1.76 each and used silicon sealant to fix them in place. As a test used an airtight polythene food container for the dust collection at the bottom, and yes it works! My vac is only 800 watt and will need to upgrade to more powerful one eventually so a stronger container at the bottom will be required, but so far so good.Update: mounted it on top of the 30 Litre airtight storage container as shown in some pictures. My vacuum is only 800 watt, but even this started to suck in the side walls of the barrel when the suction nozzle was blocked. Still usable when this happens and in most operational circumstances this event should not occur (nozzle blockage). Not sure what the outcome would be with a more powerful vacuum though. Has anyone had similar experience?

A long over due purchase, OMG I wish I had bought this sooner. Item arrived earlier than expected, came with all fittings and a template for cutting the hole. Product is really well made, was super quick and easy to fit to the 30ltr barrel I’d bought to go with it, 30 minutes later and I was good to go, workshop vacuum cleaned out, hoses attached turned in and then started cleaning. You can see the dust spinning round as lit goes through and made light work of cleaning up my workshop, tools etc.. once finished I checked the vacuum and not a drop of dust had got through to the vacuum as it was all sitting in the drum I’ve got fitted to the cyclone. No loss of power due to the filter clogging and works great if using with a router table etc. I really can’t recommend this high enough and is a must have for any craftsman/ wood worker.

Had thought about making one of these from a road cone, but saw this listing and hoped that it would do what i needed for very small cost. Made up an MDF interface to fit onto a plaster's bucket to collect the dust / chips before they got into the workshop vacuum cleaner. AMAZING results, even with several buckets of dust / chips going through, the vacuum cleaner bag has almost nothing in it - such is the ability of this product to seperate.

I bought this on the 31/05/2017, I have only now gotten around to using it now (12/04/2018), and I am really surprised by it, it really does work, I use it with a small 800 Watt VAX Power 4 vacuum cleaner, that isn’t used for anything else, (I got fed up pinching the big Dyson before this) and can’t see any dust in the VAX’s transparent acrylic dust box, it really seems to dump all the particles into the container below it, and like others have said, if you get a slight blockage, the sides of the container get sucked right in, so I have just ordered (what I hope will be)a more substantial one.

Ordered 22nd May, due for delivery 12-22 June, arrived 24 May!!I've seen other similar items at various prices up to about £40, but seriously, don't bother! This one is the cheapest I have seen, arrived in no time flat and it works perfectly. It comes with a handy template sticker, which makes it ridiculously easy to set up. I hooked it up to my wee industrial vac with an old clip-top plastic drum I had knocking around and it just worked - no pfaff, no bells, whistles or any of that. It just works exactly as you'd hope it would. Why pay more?

It really works and will save me keep changing the vacuum cleaner bags .

Arrived less than 24 hours after ordering. Initially it wasn't separating dust too well, but this was sorted out by:-1. connecting the vacuum to the correct port (it should be the vertical one2. Fitting to a properly airtight container (I'm now using an empty emulsion paint bucket & lidNow hardly any dust is escaping into the vacuum cleaner - fantastic!!
