Taylors Bulbs Amaryllis Caprice 26-28 cm

Order came very fast but has lost a star as the two packs arrived wrapped in paper - strong paper mind but the local courier for this carrier is a bit rough (have had problems in past) and packaging was battered. Only cosmetic, but I was cross about this as one bulb was a gift. However, I gave my friend the least wonky package and mine opened by itself lol, revealing a tiny packet of compost, a plastic pot and a MONSTER bulb about the size of a swede! Damp and fresh and healthy looking it was, and despite my thinking there wouldn't be enough compost, there was.Rather scanty instructions, but use google and commonsense and you're good to go.I've now got my amaryllis sitting in its pot on the cool end of my royal python's vivarium, in a room that gets plenty of sun. It will need a stake for when it grows (put the stake in now before the roots sprout) and a heavy container/holder later on - maybe with pebbles for extra humidity and weight?This is going to a be a source of interest and fun - very good value!

Item arrived in plenty of time and package was intact. It was a birthday present to replace an amaryllis that had never flowered,and my sister is delighted to report that the bulb has started to grow, which was planted about 4 weeks ago.

very expensive white amaryllis. Not worth the money!!
