The Easy Touch GU/GCU blood uric acid monitoring system is designed for quantitative measurement of uric acid level in fresh capillary whole blood. This measurement is based on determination of current changes caused by the reaction of uric acid with the reagent on the electrode of the strip. When the blood sample gently touches the sample target area of the strip, the blood is automatically drawn in to the reaction zone of the strip. The test result will be displayed on the screen after 6 seconds.

Very poor, in that you can't just get on and use it like so many other test kits, without making other purchases.Have sent back, should be made clearer that product is NOT up and ready to go !

Work but are thicker than originals packed with meter
The original strips that were included with the 3-in-1 meter were thin strips that were easy to load; by that I mean the capillary action of the strip was simple and quick to activate.These new replacement strips are made of plastic that seems ataleast twice as thick. This comes into play when trying to dab that first drop of blood onto the section where capillary action "sucks it in". On these strips it a bit more problematic to get that to start.Additionally, two out of 7 strips so far have registered "-Lo-" on the meter and required a second strip to actually get the number (which was well within the median of the range)

Just a refill, lists exactly what it is lol. You just place the uric acid strip into the meter, add blood and poof it counts down and tells you your Uric Acid levels in your blood. Only strips, meter/reader sold separately.

this test strip does not work
the test strip with a "II" mark on the outside package does not work well with the monitor we have. We end up throw it away since the monitor has difficulty to read the strip when it insert in the monitor slot. We bought another two box of test strips that the outside package without "II" work pretty well.
