Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon [Blu-ray] [2000]

I saw this movie on another streaming media and found it to be my favourite of the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon franchise and also, because I'm a big fan of Donnie Yen and Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Snow Vase).A very hard to obtain movie, until I saw this from Amazon, which would be an Import from Amazon USA.It arrived within 10-days and is a Region 3 (from Asia) DVD, imported from Amazon USA but plays perfectly well on my Multi Region dvd player and the language is in English too. Not dubbed but with the actual actors voices.Do not let the price put you off buying. If you would like something, the price should not impair your decision and besides, all import taxes and clearances are done for you. You only have to buy and wait for delivery. The DVD arrived in perfect condition in a thick padded envelope and I am very happy I made the purchase.Thank you Amazon UK and USA :-)

Ang Lee (Hulk, brokeback mountain, the Ice Stom, Oife of Pi) takes the best ideas, visual achievements and values of asian wuxiapian cinema (that about adventure, monks, magician, warriors and martial arts set in the past) and smartly puts it all in one film that introduces western audience to this huge and successful asian genre and to a whole amazing world where incredible special (yet still analogic) effects, fascinating atmosphere and brilliant editing mix with a great storytelling, based on acting as well as action, on intrigue and plot where usual topics (love, revenge, betrayal, honor, trust, death, and an evocative natural surrounding), and thus producing a brilliant compromise between east and west cinema, also proving that asian entertaining films are not so far from ours, only finer and more careful to understatement in the description of characters and to lyricism when it comes to celebrate the dramatic beauty of life and death. Also the ending is surprisingly not cliche. This film is a very good introduction toi asian cinema, presented on an excellent bluray. Now you might be ready for zhang Yimou and Tsui hark films

This is a classic Chinese film. I had it for ages on my TIVO box butthought is was worth buying the Blue Ray version. There are somebrilliant foreign films out there and I always prefer the originalsoundtrack with subtitles. There are martial arts films and martial armsfilms with a story. If you prefer the latter you should look at these.Red Cliff (special edition).Curse of the golden flower. (The range of colours is breath taking)Saving General Yang.(All Blue Ray).

One of my favourite films and I had an impulse to see it again. Not disappointed.

I always like "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" and that's why i've got it.. But i must confess that there are so many Special Features on DVD than Blu-ray disc.. I believe, at least one or more Movie Trailers should be on any Movie disc.. On this sunject, There is one interview and Standart Making Of.. That's it..Ofcourse, blu-ray itself is a good product whatsoever.. True-HD Sound (i always prefer DTS) is very nice surprise among the Columbia's LPCMs.. So many Audio and Subtitle (including turkish :) support..In the end, i's a nice blu-ray and you can enjoy this spectacular movie with this Disc without any problem and doubt..I thank to the seller also..

Wonderful seminal film.Definitely one for the collection....
