Houdini Bucket, Includes Ice Tongs, Black

This bucket is pretty fantastic. Holds ice and keeps that ice frozen for a good long time due to the insulated nature of the bucket. The lid isn't quite insulated, so you will lose some cold through it, but really it lasts enough for your average drinking session.This really completes a bar set, and it's just a really nice thing to have if you want to take your drinking habit to another room for the evening. Sometimes it's nice to take a decanter, a couple glasses, and an ice bucket onto the back porch and have a few glasses of whiskey with a friend or your sweety.It is large enough easily to use as a champagne bucket; room for a bottle and room to spare for plenty of ice around it.It reminds me very much of a hotel ice bucket, except better construction. The inside seems to be stainless, so cleaning is super easy.All in all, very nice!

This is a nice looking ice bucket that functions well. I put one tray of ice (15 cubes) in it put the lid back on and checked it three hours later and the amount of water in the bucket was hardly noticeable. I checked a couple hours later and there was a bit more water but the ice was still very usable for a drink.. The first picture is the fresh ice the second after three hours. Had the bucket been full of ice I'm guessing it would have lasted even longer. Now keep in mind the ice bucket is indoors at room temp.The quality of this bucket seems about average. The handle could use some sort of comfort grip as it's just a piece of tin that's been bent into a loop and the edges will dig into your hands and fingers when carrying it full of ice. Not painful just a bit annoying. The tongs is nice but a bit on the flimsy side. I sometimes prefer a tongs over a small scoop depending on what kind of drinks we are having and what kinds of glasses we are using.The rubber gasket on the lid fits very snug to the bucket and is a very good design. Part of the reason why it holds ice so well. The lid is a shiny chrome so it gives it a classy look and will look nice on any bar. The bucket itself is a black matte finish and does contrast nicely with the polished chrome lid and handle but the drawback here is that it is black. I will never understand why you would design something to keep something cold and then make it black. If you put this outside in your patio entertaining area that black bucket is going to absorb the sun and heat up. You will need to be certain to keep it out of the sun. I felt the poor handle design and the color combined were enough to keep this from a five star item.This is still a nice bucket just a couple minor flaws. If you have a indoor bar it would be perfect for that. If you bring it outside on a nice summer day maybe wrap it in a white towel or keep it out of the sun. Overall I would say you are getting your value at the price point.

I have the matching matte black Houdini bar tools set and was excited to get this ice bucket to go with it. The great thing for me about all of the pieces is that while yes, they work as you would expect them too while making cocktails, they look fabulous when you aren't. Because I don't make cocktails every day, but I do look at my home bar and I love how sleek and contemporary this set is.Function wise, it holds plenty of ice and keeps it cold if you keep the lid on. 10 out of 10.

The media could not be loaded. I really like this ice bucket. The look is modern and easy to clean and I love that it comes with ice tongs. I wish there was a dedicated space for the tongs to hook onto but you can easily place them on top of the closed lid. Speaking of the lid, WOW! I'm used to ice buckets where the lid just sits on top, but this thing actually seals! It has strong rubber edging so when it's place firmly on top of the ice bucket, the grip is so strong, I'm able to pick the entire bucket up by the lid! This is reassuring that 1, if the bucket gets knocked over, no ice or melted ice will spill out. 2, for outdoor use, bugs won't get in! 3, my naughty pets can't knock the lid off! Really happy with this ice bucket, seems like the double insulation will do a great job.

This is a very classy looking matte black ice bucket with chrome details. It looks and feels like good quality, and the gasket on the lid really snugs down nicely. The tongs are chrome and seem a bit small and are not proportionate in quality to the ice bucket - you'll be picking up one cube at a time with them. But it holds ice well, which is its primary purpose, while looking really good. I may wind up getting just a little larger, better pair of tongs. Still overall 5 stars.
