Easy to use did the job

A render or screed might have been better as the putty rolls off the trowel easily. I found by making sure the area was wet really helped. The product is good and filled the gaps nicely. For the larger gaps at the back of fire needed a little more work and I found that using my hand was easier than a trowel. Once I had packed and filled the gap adding water and finish ring off with a trowel gave a nice finish. Rick hard in 24 hours. Fire lit after 48 hours no problems at all. The time could well be less however I wanted to be sure it had a good opportunity to completely set.To quote another brand - it does what it says on the tin -

So far so good. Used this to replace cracked cement around inset woodburner that had only been on 18 months. Seems much more robust and strong - but time will tell.
