Plenty of Action, Plenty of Suspense, Plenty of Hot Romance
The step-son of Adam Raiker (founder of Mindhunters) is almost kidnapped from the school he attends.Adam immediately calls for Declan Gallagher and Eve Larrison to go undercover to find the person responsible. Declan is used to working alone, not a bubbly blonde that looks like a cheerleader. Eve has a rare gift ... she speaks over sixty languages.Declan and Gallagher pose as a married couple. Eve never thought that would be the hardest part of this assignment. When the boy is actually kidnapped at a second attempt. Declan and Eve are going to have to answer the questions regarding the boy's parentage. The only ones who were around 9 years ago are all dead .... but did the secret die with them?I have read all the previous Mindhunter books over the last couple of years. None of the books have been a disappointment. There's always plenty of action, plenty of suspense, and plenty of hot romance to keep me riveted to the pages. Each of the books does fine as a stand-alone. You will meet some of the older characters, and plenty of new ones. I always look forward to a new adventure with the Mindhunters.

engrossing story from start to finish
From the start this book absorbs your attention. When the opening scene is the young son of Alex Raiker, who runs the company this series is about, is getting kidnapped you know its going to be a engrossing story. If you've been a fan of the Mindhunters series from the start you're well aquanted with who Adam is. He has always known that his past history of putting criminals away would mean that his family would always be at risk to those wanting to hurt but he's tried his best to always have safeguards in place. Well those safeguards fail and Royce is kidnapped.Royce manages to get away but Adam knows it's not over. He then brings in Declan Gallager and Eve Larrison to help draw out the ones trying to kidnapp him. These two were very interesting characters and Eve really brought an interesting set of skills to the table. From here the story just get more interesting as we slowly learn the real reasons and who all is behind everything. Every character whether they were good are bad were fascinating.

Suspense
This book is part of the Mindhunters series but could easily be read as a stand alone. Eve and Declan go undercover to prevent the kidnapping of a young boy. Royce, the stepson of the head of the Mindhunters won’t be safe til they find out who has targeted him. This book grabbed me from the first page. It is full of suspense from the first page. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a suspense with some romance thrown into the mix.

... another gripping story in the Mindhunter series and I enjoyed the read
This was another gripping story in the Mindhunter series and I enjoyed the read. I did however have a problem with the book itself. I purchased it new but as I neared the middle of the book first one page and then another simply came out of the book. I would tuck the page back in place and continue to read, thinking it would be the last. In all approximately 20 pages separated from the binding. I hope this is a flaw with this book only because I have just begun the next in the series and would be disappointed if this one also began to fall apart.

Love the Mindhunter books!
This is probably my favorite so far, but I do have one small bone to pick with Kylie. At the end of this book, Adam mentions reporter Bolton had been fired from his newspaper and was now writing for whomever would publish him.Well... I remember Bolton being killed by Adam's "stalker" in the last book.It does bug me when authors AND editors miss this kind of thing.Otherwise, great story and awesome heroine!Keep the Mindhunters coming!!!

Love this book!
When you take a book that includes suspense, humor, bad ass men, and strong females, you can't go wrong. I am actually reading this book for the second time. You can always catch more details on the second pass. The book is really good. I laughed throughout it, which is an added bonus, because it is a suspense novel. Kylie Brant has become one of my favorite authors.

Good Read
I have enjoyed all of the Mind Hunter books, including this one. Unfortunately, it was so long between books that I barely recognized the characters. That aside, the story was edge of your seat suspenseful, especially at the end. I liked Declan, I found him honest, straightforward and sympathetic. I was on the fence with Eve. Although they were partnered on this case, I found her evasive and felt that this evasiveness did not inspire confidence that she had her partner's back. Withholding information about her experience could have been detrimental to the success of their case and while I can understand that letting people underestimate your capabilities could be advantageous in certain circumstances, it just didn't make sense to me in the relationship with Declan. One would think that you would want your partner to know that you can hold your own as part of a team. Another point, given that Raiker was so concerned about security, I would have thought that before bringing more people into the household, he would have gone over them with a fine toothed comb. I saw the results of that negligence coming very clearly. Despite these small quibbles, I still enjoyed this book and look forward to the next instalment. I just hope it comes before I forget who's who again.
