Perfect for replacement clips for the cheap plastic originals - These are steel!
The pictures that accompany this item seem to show plastic clips. They are, in fact, sturdy steel. With white paint, to match the Rubbermaid system. I like to make good use of overhead storage, and load up my closet shelves with heavy items. Recently, when retrieving one of the heavy items, I was horrified to discover that four of the original plastic clips had broken. The entire back of the shelf was buckling, and would soon let go. I was delighted when the replacement clips arrived. Thy are made from strong steel, and the sizing of the mounting holes, and U-shape for the shelf are exact and perfect. It was a ten minute job to replace the broken clips with the new steel ones, and I added in a few extras just to be sure the shelf will hold. I bet I could do pull ups on the shelf now. Also, nice was that they included the screws and wall anchors for the system. I'll be checking the other wire shelves in my home, and wioll upgrade any old plastic clips to these new strong steel clips.

Excellent upgrade from the plastic clips
These are metal and a whole lot stronger than the plastic clips. I had installed some shelves using the plastic clips. Some of the plastic clips broke after several years. I'm in the process of replacing all the plastic clips with these metal clips. An additional benefit of these metal clips is that they use 2 screws whereas the plastic clips only use one screw.

Sturdy and reliable
Had to replace the hardware for a wire shelf where the builder apparently did not use the studs. These were delivered quickly and installed in minutes.

Wish these were interchangeable or could be used with plastic clips
These clips are very strong. I am very happy with these clips. However, my shelving was originally installed with thee plastic clips (also by Closetmaid. The plastic ones started to fatigue and two shelves actually collapsed due to the plastic clips breaking. I removed the broken ones and replaced them with these and they worked great. However, for the shelves that didn't collapse, I wanted to reinforce them (leaving the original plastic clips in place). However, the plastic clips space the wire shelf out by about 1/4" whereas the metal ones pull the shelf against the wall also the position of the hole relative to the wire shelf interface is a little off compared to the plastic clips which makes replacement of plastic with these metal ones not quite right either. .

Absolutely the Right Screws and Anchors!!
It is hard to find these wall anchors anywhere. Glad I ran into these when I was securing wired shelves that came out of the wall of my closet. That was 10+ years ago and have used them in every closet and pantry since. If you want to do the job right the first time, then this is the hardware to buy!!

Wife Saver! Yes, Wife...and Life Saver too!
So we have the typical wire shelves in our walk-in closet. One day, we hear a BOOM! and find one of the clothing shelves (not mine...) has been ripped out of the wall. Upon, cleaning up and looking at the culprit (not me...) it's determined that the factory plastic wall clips and their screws could not support the weight put upon them. A quick look around Amazon found these metal clips with much longer screws. Problem solved (for now...). We'll see how much more weight is added to the shelving now and how long the shelves themselves hold up. I'm sure the metal clips will do their job. I have since upgraded all the plastic clips to these metal ones for some peace of mind.

Exactly as described
These brackets are even better in person. They were perfect for securing my utility shelves that I put in my son’s room. They are a really nice quality. I thought I would need a bunch of them but it only took a handful to get the job done. We secured them right into the stud. I would definitely recommend these for any project.

This is the perfect solution for upgrading the weak anchors that typically come with wire shelving. When our shelf collapsed during the middle of the night (and, no we didn't have it overloaded with excessive weight), we looked for more substantial anchors to ensure our shelving would stay securely attached to the wall. These anchors are greatly stronger and are absolutely a great solution for someone looking to fix their shelving problems.

Five Stars
Much better than the typical plastic clips

Not as shown in photo
These are indeed metal clips, formed out of bent steel sheet. The picture shows a plastic clip I suppose. I expected a cast metal piece. These are actually the same as the #7561 Clips for concrete installation. I note that the 1.5" screws provided are strangely long for the 1" plastic wall anchors. Not a deal breaker, and a huge improvement over the plastic clips that get brittle and fail over time (10 years for us). Four stars for deceptive picture.
