Diamond FXSplit Cake, 28 gm - Small Captain Obvious

First of all, this split cake is TINY. I've included a picture with a quarter for scale. This is how much 30 gms is. So know that. It's small. If you know that before purchase, you won't be disappointed!I'm a completely novice mom face painter. I just like to have fun with my kids and their friends. I can't speak to how this compares to super expensive brands because I've never used them. However, I really like this. The colors are vibrant, the feel is creamy. It goes on well. There was no cracking or irritation to the skin. The colors look exactly like the do in the product picture. The kids wore it for several hours with no fading, smearing or rubbing off.The split cake is about an inch wide. I have a 3/4 inch brush and I can't get all 6 colors on it at one time. Guess it's time to invest in a larger one!Even though this is small, it appears it will last for a loooong time. We've played around with it a few times and I've used so little paint it looks unused.The rainbow is a crowd favorite. For the quality you get for the price, I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys face painting. Like I said, I'm no professional, but I would think this would be a good addition to any collection - pro or novice. The only downside for a professional face painter might be the small size...I have no idea how quickly they go through this stuff!Please note that the white clouds were completed with paint from a different kit (obviously there's no white on this one).

Product picture is deceiving. Read the small print! This is only 1 inch by 2 inch tray. I've purchased other quality face paints in larger size for the around same price, so I was pretty disappointed when I received this teeny tiny tray which I'm sure will not last through one fair. I haven't used yet so don't know how well it covers.

I THOUGHT that this product was for face painting. on the back clearly saids that is not for skin use , not cosmetic use. For hair only. I dont want to put in my daughter's face something harmful. I already returned. How come you can sell this as a face paint?

Buyers, please be aware: I ordered this product for face painting. Though the listing only says to avoid eye and lip areas, my daughter happened to read the back of it, and it's label says "Not for use on skin, non-cosmetic use. For hair and special effects only."

Used this to do my husband’s Night King makeup. It stayed on all night (except the lip make wore off as he drank beers), but he couldn’t even feel the makeup and came off easily (except he had what looked like black eyeliner around the eyes for a day or so. Lol)

Says what it is I've used to having Diamond effects for years . Never had a problem with their line this one stroke beautiful for unicorns butterflies and a softer rainbow than the brighter rainbow in their line. Definitely going to be a deal-breaker this summer for festival & birthday parties

Lovely even cake. A dream to work with!

I completely love Diamond Effect FX. The only reason why I didn't give this cake 5 starts was because the pink has gotten a bit gummy and uneven. Which is a pet peeve of mine when it come to split cakes. But the coverage is still amazing and it's still easy to work with. The little slightly gummy uneven spot in this one cake from Diamond FX is still okay and the product itself is amazing. nice blend, easy to use and beautiful colors!
