I'm Undecided Of If This Is Something I Can Use
Disclaimer: I'm a cast-iron nerd. If I had my druthers, it'd be all that I ever use.As far as the form and shape is concerned, it's what I expected, and has some very good features I didn't expect (like a built-in drip-tray).As far as using it on an outdoor grill, so long the grill is large enough, I see absolutely no problems. As far as using it on an indoor gas range-top (using two burners), it does depend a little bit on the spacing of the burners. To be able to sit atop two burners (and cover them), it's 14-1/2in.As far as using on an electric range-top, that's where the problems begin. Because it is dual sided, I can't see it working on an induction. But also, because of that same dual-sidedness, even a normal burner is only going to have limited contact. Which brings me to my next issue. This plate is about twice as heavy as my 12in frying pan. (It is not light-weight.) Yes, being of cast-iron, once it gets up to temperature, that temperature is going to stay (pretty much) equal throughout the plate. Yes, if let set long enough on a gas range, it will get up to temperature. But no, I can't see it getting up to temperature, with only minimal contact to electric burners. So the only real work-around that I can see that insures it functioning correctly on an indoor range, is to pre-heat it in an oven.A further issue I have with this plate is its finish. High-quality cast-iron is taken out of the cast, then sanded to a smooth shiny polish. Only then will it be seasoned/pre-seasoned. (My frying pan I've actually stripped the pre-seasoning off and sanded.) The reason for doing this is to insure that further polymerizing makes a truly non-stick coating. Rough simply cannot, no matter how much additional coating is added on later. And when I look at this plate, I see rough (completely unsanded) surface areas, and even rough edges, that have barely been touched. So while in no way artisan grade cast-iron, priced at $35, it does have it usage, especially if you need one mainly for your outdoor grill, and only sometimes for indoors. (My problem is that, I have only a small electric range. And, I can pre-heat, fry up any steak (or breakfast) in my cast-iron frying pan, in the same amount of time, that it takes to pre-heat this griddle.) So I guess for me, it's back to the drawing board.

Not non-stick
I was excited to use my new nonstick griddle to make French toast. Unfortunately the griddle was not nonstick and it ruined my French toast. The griddle itself is stained despite the several times I tried to clean it.

Season it well
Seasoned it properly and the eggs and pancakes slide right off

"Designed in America" made in China
This is a super heavy, travel size, two sided grill pan. One side is flat for eggs or pancakes, the other side is ridged. Both sides have a lipped edge and drip channel. Be cause of the lipped edge, neither side can sit flat on a glass top stove, so we won't be using it indoors. Nice side for a camping stove with two burners. Not large enough to cook more than 2 burgers or one larger steak at a time. Texture is a little rough, but not bad. Says preseasoned, but doesn't look or feel it. Don't like the use of the USA sign on the description picture since it was made in China. The silicone handle grips are pretty small, and I could see getting burned easily. Will still use it when camping, but with caution.
