I've had my microwave for 20 years and according to this instrument, my kitchen is only slightly less contaminated than Chernobyl.

Reading not corresponding to a calibrated device
The product showed high microwave radiation from a NEFF combination oven. After replacing the oven seal with a new one, readings were still high. I raised an engineer call out (at high cost) who attended with a calibrated detector. The microwave leakage was well within safety parameters, contradicting the purchased device. The purchased device is either defective or not fit for purpose.

Do not buy
Cannot comment on whether or not this device works as instructions are unintelligible obviously bad Chinese's translation. The device sometimes bleeps and there is a reading on the meter but whether this indicates the microwave is dangerous _ who knows!!I am returning to amazon. There are a lots of 5 star two word reviews for this product - beware!!

VALUABLE BIT OF SAFETY KIT FOR THE AVERAGE KITCHEN
USED IT AS SOON AS GOT IT & HAS CONFIRMED WHAT I SUSPECTED THAT BOTH MY COMBI-OVENS WERE SHOT TO VARYING BUT UNSAFE LEVELS SO MONEY WELL SPENT.MUCH BETTER THAN CONTINUING TO MICROWAVE BOTH MY FOOD & MYSELF!

Not most accurate
Perhaps every microwave I have tested is leaking. Or this tester is not very accurate. Maybe just the one I got.

Arrived very promptly, tested on 3 different ovens - 2 registered below the safety limit. 1 failed the test on the hinge side - "OL" - on all 3 tests. on checking the inside of the door panel I found that it was loose - this oven is now scrapped!

Good value for money. Have only used it a couple of times but works well, BUT CAN'T SPEAK FOR LONG TERM RELIABILITY OR ACCURACY.
