It took a while for my Beats Solo 3 headphone to be paired with the PS4 but it worked. My headphones were not supposed to work with the PS4 but this dongle saved the day. I had to try several times to pair them because the pair was apparently done but I couldn't hear anything. I think that an attempt to pair directly the headset with PS4 (not through the dongle) made it work but I am not totally sure that this was the reason when I succeeded. Sometimes I have to try the pair a couple of times when I start my ps4 again but it eventually works. I didn't tried the microphone in a chat but I did a sound test and it was recognised by my PS4

Doesn’t pair. Waste of money.

This item does work. If you follow the instructions there should be no issue. The reason for 3 stars is the mic. Due to this being required to be connected directly to the controller you will find it not suitable for gaming. The mic only works properly very close to you mouth and when playing you will be annoying your team mates as they hear you hitting the buttons more than they hear your voice. The only way to use the mic is to have the controller shoved below your mouth something that isnt going to happen

Upon reading other reviews I deliberated long and hard about whether to pick this up, but I took the plunge and am very glad that I did. This is a fantastic piece of kit - for a tiny price I can pair my Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Wireless headphones with my PS4 and do not have to purchase a separate headset exclusively for the console. Delivery was quicker than expected which is always a benefit!Pairing is simple, but it is not plug-and-play. You will need to do some work in the PS4 settings, specifically Audio Devices in order to hear audio through the headphones. This is because the dongle effectively 'tricks' the PS4 into thinking that it is a USB headset and the audio settings need to be amended as such. Once done, you then pair the dongle with your headset of choice. I think that this is why most other users are having difficulty. The instructions that come in the box are very clear and even include screenshots to help those who are more visual.The reason for the four stars is that the microphone attachment is...well...a bit rubbish. Due to its location, and with it being omni-directional, it struggles to pick up vocals clearly. If the microphone volume is increased your gaming buddy will end up hearing you mashing your Dualshock buttons more than your commentary so for those who want crystal clear voice comms I would advise getting a dedicated gaming headset with a proper microphone. I do not personally use the microphone attachment as I prefer single-player games but thought it would be prudent to mention it regardless.If you already own a set of headphones that you are perfectly happy with and don't want to purchase a dedicated headset for your PS4 then I would recommend this product.Pros:- Dramatically increases number of PS4-compatible headsets.- Unobtrusive design.- Solid, uninterrupted connection, no drops that I have noticed.- CHEAPCons- Microphone is a bit rubbish- Requires delving into system settings which can confuse some users.

After reading the reviews I bought this in mind that it may not work . Within 20 seconds it was up and running and linked to my Sony Bluetooth headphones. Highly recommended as an alternative to PS4 ones.Boxing and instructions for snide were clear and was to use. Will spread the word to a few friends who will also purchase.

Sadly won't pair with my Sony wh-1000xm3'sAlthough the mic quality is very good

I tried this with some bluetooth based headphones you can buy on amazon, the headphones are great quality and have worked with several devices across time.I buy this little dongle and give it a try, guess what? it doesn't work.I guess you can say you only buy this dongle if you want to get DONGL'D

Does not work with beats by dre

Devo dire che per quel che costa è un validissimo prodotto. Mi ha permesso di risparmiare circa 80 euro sull'acquisto delle cuffie ps4 originali. Mi sembrava assurdo visto che possedevo già delle cuffie Sony, ottime, non poterle collegare alla playstation, con questo piccolo e comodo dispositivo ce l'ho fatta e devo dire che è semplicissimo e ottimo.

Funktioniert einwandfrei wer lesen kann ist klar im Vorteil auf der Verpackung steht wie es funktioniert und wenn das nicht hilft YouTube getestet mit JBL Charge 3 und taotronics Bluetooth Kopfhörer

Funciona muy bien, pero por añadirle un pero, hay que emparejarlo si tienes el apagado total de la consola, es decir si no lo tienes en reposo.
