Fantastic stuff! Makes my dog chilled or sleepy so we can both enjoy long car journeys together without him pacing, whining, barking or drooling the entire time. He hates being in the car but this Zylkene transforms him into Mr Placid until we get there when he reverts to his usual amazing self: Mr Gorgeous Cuddly Cavatzu!

Excellent product especially as the cat doesn't seem to notice it added to milk. This is amazing for a cat as they are really awkward about pills and stuff or so I've always found.

My beagle X has really benefitted from taking zylkene. It has helped her relax and has greatly reduced her barking fits. No obvious side effects.

Our Springer/Cocker cross has always been afraid of fireworks, and gets very upset when there are loud bangs.We have used Zylkene for the last 2 Guy Fawkes nights and New years Eve and she has been much calmer, she even slept through them this year.Well recommended

I used this, as directed, and at the recommended "dose". It was easy to administer and the dog seemed to find it palatable with no side effects. Unfortunately it had absolutely no effect on him. His behaviour before and after was exactly the same.I'm please it seems to have been of help to a number of other people though.I thought I would research it further to find out the science behind it. First, this is not a drug, but a food supplement. When I have my dog wormed he gets a drug, which is proven to eliminate worms. Would I give him a "food supplement" that might help "support" him? Clearly not. So why, if this product is so effective, why is it not marketed as a drug with the science to support it?The most astonishing claims are made for the compound that it is the principal active ingredient in Zylkene, the most outrageous one being the inference that it is as effective as diazepam - valium. This is absurd - it is not (we'll ignore the claims that it helps people lose weight). The published research (almost all of it funded by the manufacturer) is disingenuous at best and largely based on what should happen, rather than what does happen.The alleged calming effect is derived from a chemical that naturally occurs in milk. If I were unfortunate enough to suffer from a panic attack, given the choice between a glass of warm milk and 10mg of diazepam I know what I'd choose.

this product worked really well on keeping my little dog calm during the lead up to bonfire night and afterwards would definitely use it again

Didn't work for our dogs. Tried them whilst we moved house. Started a week before we moved. One of our dogs is an anxious jack Russell terrier. What helped in the end was several long walks a day and lots of distraction.

These are a good, reputable brand which are often sold at veterinary surgeries. I give them to my dog for travelling & also when left alone, it does calm her down SLIGHTLY, but not a tremendous amount. They tend to have very varied results. If you're looking for something very strong, with more of a sedative effect, these probably won't be good enough for you & you may be best discussing alternatives with your vet.

très déçue par l'achat : le conditionnement n'est que de 10 gélules et n'était précisé nulle part. Rapport qualité/prix très décevant, produit trop cher. Efficacité à voir au bout de quelques jours, mais pour le moment, pas de changement de comportement sur mon chien (cocker de 13 ans et demi qui a des troubles du sommeil : confond jour/nuit). Je ne recommande pas ce produit.
