12v Car Universal Stainless Steel Electric Automatic Wing Mount Aerial

I have a problem with poor reception - this could be either be because the radio needs tuning to the aerial. I tried this - but no improvement (a number of variable capacitors are accessible at the back of the radio unit)I now suspect that I need to improve the earth for the aerial (although I am using the same earth as for the previous aerial, which I replaced since it would not longer retract, and reception was fine with that old aerial).If an improved earth does not solve the problem, then I must conclude that there is a problem with the aerial.I contacted the supplier, but they could not give any advise.

Good value for money. I bought it as a cheap replacement. It was quick and easy to install. Some aspects a bit cheap looking, like the top nut so I used the one from the original aerial. The aerial is a bit noisier than the one it replaced, but can't complain too much considering the price.

Managed to fit it ok - swapping for the existing one, so no complex wiring. Lots of different bung options so I imagine it could go on any vehicle easily.I'm not 100% convinced about the materials and suspect it will have a limited lifespan, but considering what I paid for it, that's ok. If you want something to last 10 years then probably better to look at a Bosch version.

Aerial arrived on time; it looks good and was great whilst it worked - 36 hours in my case; I have received a replacement.Due to health reasons, I had to have the aearial fitted professionally twice, at my cost). Seller's policy "We do not cover the costs of fitting / re installing faulty items"... Let's hope the replacement aerial does what it's supposed to do?

5 Stars because this kit is very good value. Huge range of grommets to suit almost any vehicle. Fitting is simple, just three wires to connect. If your old aerial siezed as mine did, this aerial is a fraction of the price of the manufacturers replacement and does the same job. Most used cars with automatic aerials have probelms with the mast sticking. One thing I would recommend is every week or two, extend the mast and wipe it with WD40. You will be suprised at the dirt that comes off it.

Due to the lack of good fitting infomation. (There was one wire less than the old one) I have now got a very expensive garage bill.I thought that what I was getting from Amazon was good value. This the second purchace which has gone wrong....No more

Seems well designed and made. Fitting was straightforward.
