A Review for the 2CD/DVD "Grrr! Live"I'd dithered for a while about pre-ordering this double CD and (single) DVD as I'd seen bits of the concert on YouTube and felt it might not be one of their better ones. This concert from December 15, 2012 at the Prudential Center, Newark, NJ, is though for me, really good in fact but it is, as I thought, (for me at any rate) - not their best ever but all the same I've basically spent a very enjoyable afternoon and evening listening and watching it.There's quite a few guest performers including: Lady Gaga; John Mayor, Gary Clark Jr; The Black Keys; Mick Taylor; and Bruce Springsteen. The DVD is two hours thirty-seven minutes and the DVD has three bonus tracks from the previous nights concert and the two CDs have all the songs from the main concert. The sound mix on the DVD and the CDs are slightly different I found - the same recording the same guitars and drums etc but with the mixing of the sound I noticed with "Miss You" which I checked out early on as it's one of my favourites that Keith's guitar wasn't too prominent and then when I heard the song and Keith's guitar on the DVD I could hear his guitar more clearly and I checked all this with the same player so it wasn't two different machines checking the discs. It's subtle but it's definitely there. The discs are elegantly presented in a four-fold package as with other Stones concerts of recent releases and there's a sixteen page booklet of information and photographs.DVDGet Off My CloudThe Last TimeIt's Only Rock 'n' Roll (But I Like It)Paint It BlackGimme Shelter (with Lady Gaga)Wild HorsesI'm Going Down (with John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr)Dead FlowersWho Do You Love? The Album was of the Rolling Stones Live in New York some 11 years ago.The tracks are atmospheric and the presentation and actual play is excellent. The musicians involved are top class with bass ,sax and keyboards playing in addition toThe known Group of Jagger ,Watts ,Wood and Richards.Well worth a listenI am a Stones fan since the sixties

GRRR LIVE CD/DVD
The Stones are a part of my life with music. Since 1963 ish I have followed and loved them (but please retire gracefully now). This collection of live concerts is, I suppose, fantastic VFM and the DVD is excellent quality. I can't explain even to myself why I felt unmoved by the CD. Sound with my headphones is fine, it's just I couldn't help feeling there was emotion missing!!! Just me folks, but that is my honest opinion. But it is a bargain and as always an absolute must for Stones fans, and fans of rock.

Unnecessary guests.
Much better than expected given the late date of the gigs but the guests are unnecessary except Mayer and Clark jr.

How do they do it?
There’s never going to be another band like the Rolling Stone, they have broken all records, they should be dead, but they still outshine every other band on the planet. The world will be a much worse place without them. A great set of live recordings.

A good night was had by all...
Loved CD1,less so the second, but all in all a good listening experience. One weird moment-at Who Do You Love the tracks started to play backwards! Only happened once and no,there were no substances involved.
