It didn't harm the fish when I used it for a new water change in the ponds so I assume it does what it's supposed to do!

No effect on fish or plants, but....................
Used this in the long dry summer to top up the pond with tap water. First time I've ever had to do this so a good indicator on how the climate is changing.Fish and plants totally fine, but the pond skaters and water boatman all disappeared.Maybe it was just coincidence, but I have a feeling this product may have had something to do with it as they have always been present in our pond for 11 years, up until the point I added this stuff.That's the only reason it has 4 stars.
