2015 New 3DS Replacement Front Faceplate & Back Plates (Red Gem)

Not felt like OEM, but good quality plastic. Fits well on N3DS models, does not work with XL models. Comes with backplate screws already attached. Looks good on both black and white models.

Got this for my brother and he's happy with the aesthetic design for these aftermarket faceplates.

Quality is nice — but top shell was pretty scratched up upon opening

As it is said all over, this is for the the New 2015 3DS not XL/LL which for me was great cause thats all i had and accessories for this model are very scars. the shell mostly fits perfectly if not feeling like its a tad thicker than the original it fit on just find!

Unfortunately was missing the piece that held one of the screws from falling out and the screw was missing. But it fit okay. The top fit like cement and didn't want to come off but it worked well enough to be the one I use during repairs. It was easy to install even with the missing screw but definitely won't be remaining with that missing screw.

UPDATE: I broke the top shell trying to heat and bend it into a better shape. I had managed to eliminate the gaps, but ended up with a gap in the center instead. I replaced it with the Ambertown plates available here on Amazon, but I suspect these are the same product—this one just comes in a clear plastic case instead of bubble wrap, and I am guessing from other reviews that it's luck of the draw whether you get one that fits well or is warped.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought the white version of these faceplates to have a neutral option for my American New 3DS. This isn't exactly the same white, but it's a nice complement and a good finish.The bottom shell fits well and is easy to install and remove (handy if you're going to be dealing with the SD card often for homebrew). The retaining washers are apparently plastic, though, and one just doesn't retain at all, no matter how hard I try. Be careful with those tiny screws.The top shell snaps on easily but holds on to the New 3DS for dear life. You may not be able to get it off again. I managed with the help of a plastic tool, but I noticed that the tabs on the shell were pulling hard at the sides of the New 3DS.I seem to have broken one of the shell's tabs in the process of getting it off again. I think it'll stay on like this, but it's not ideal. I've added a little double-sided tape underneath to make sure. Good news is that it's no longer difficult to get on and off.The top shell also doesn't QUITE fit right over the corners, leaving gaps. In practice, it's not a big deal, but it's something to be aware of.

Just put it on my 3ds and I gotta say, worth the price!
