Shimmer And Shine: Friendship Divine

Perfect, my daughter loves Shimmer and Shine but she's particularly fond of Zeta and Nasbu so this DVD is perfect as it's all episodes from the more current series. Lovely show (and this DVD has the English voices for Leah, Zac, Shimmer and Shine NOT the American ones - brilliant!) ... I should also confess that, as kids shows go, I love this one too!

My daughter loves this show. My wife and I can get a break when it is playing.

My boy/girl twins are almost four and I wanted to get them a couple new movies to watch. We live in Wisconsin where winters are long and cold so we spend a lot of time indoors and it's nice to have some fun TV shows and movies. My daughter had received a Shimmer and Shine bathrobe for Christmas and, after learning who the characters were, said we should get one of the movies of Shimmer and Shine. We'd never seen the show before and I saw this one was a new DVD so I ordered it.Shimmer and Shine are twin genies-in-training who are best friends with a girl named Leah. Every day, Shimmer and Shine grant her three wishes and, since they are still learning, they make mistakes, but learn from them along the way. Based on my research, the first season takes place in Leah's human world and the second season takes place in Zahramay Falls, where Shimmer, Shine, and all of their genie friends live. This DVD contains episodes taken from the second season. Along with Shimmer, Shine, and Leah, there are other genies and a sorceress named Zeta who is the villain in season two. Zeta is always trying to be the best at everything and has her pet dragon, Nazboo, to help her. Shimmer and Shine also have their own cute pets.This DVD is 94 minutes long and contains 8 episodes. Each episode is about 11 to 12 minutes long. The episodes included on this DVD are from season two and are:1. Mermaid Mayhem2. Zoom Zahramay3. A Tree-mendous Rescue4. Freeze-amay Falls5. Even my son enjoyed it so it is a winner for this mommy! Both of my kids liked it and said they want to watch it again. I like that it's safe for young kids to watch and it teaches lessons about practicing until you get it right, even if you make mistakes. It's cute, fun, and has a catchy theme song. We'd never watched this show before and even I like it! We don't own the other Shimmer and Shine DVDs yet and I'm sure it won't be long before we buy them. If you have a Shimmer and Shine fan, or a little person who would like a cute show to watch, I recommend buying this one!

Shimmer and Shine is so upbeat! Problem solving, working out mistakes that aren't catastrophic, it's puts the kids in a good mood. I have a 3 year old, a 7 year old, and 9 year old, all girls, and they all love it.
