This works well for me!

I use a lot of sphagnum moss for my orchids. I cut ~2 inch slice of the block from the short end. Once wet, it filled a gallon zip bag. It is that compacted. Excellent value. Doesn't have a lot of detritus - no room for that in the block.

I've tried a lof of brands of sphagnum moss but this is the first time I've had a bad experience. I must've received a bad batch b/c the first I noticed was that the coloring was off and there was a mild odd smell. Once I placed it in a bin and filled it with warm water, the smell got even stronger and it smelled absolutely putrid. This is not useable at all.

It’s a fine moss, pretty cheap but still great.. my only complaint is that the mixture has too many leaves and some plastic that shouldn’t be there

I use this in moss poles for some of my plants. It's perfect!

Half the bag was good and I was able to use it for some small mossy piles, the last 1/3 of the bag was just powder though and other than mixing it into some soil for water retention, it’s useless for me
