Bought this scanner to specifically be used with my Collectorz game database which it works perfectly with, it's a very well made scanner that feels good & comfortable in the hands, not too heavy or light. Very simple to install just plug the cable into the scanner and then into a usb port on the pc. The scanner installs all it's own drivers automatically so no disk needed, was using it fine on my windows 7 machine. One thing to note is that once the cable has been installed into the scanner handset it's not really meant to be removed, it clips in and stayed locked in to the handset. You can remove it by inserting something very thin down the side to engage the unlocking tab. Unless you want to put it back into the box it comes with i can't see any reason to remove the cable once its attached.It was already pre configured and worked stright out the box with the barcodes i used it on. The manual is a bit vague as it doesn't explain how to set up the reprogramming or explain in more detail what some of the programming barcodes in the manual do but chances are unless you need to do something very specific it will work fine without having to tinker about with reprogramming it. Just make sure you don't lose that manual as it has a code to reset the scanner if anything ever gets messed up.Great quality for the price, pleased with my purchase.

Arrived on time, works straight out of the box. As with other comments the instructions could be a little more detailed just so we all would understand all the uses the other barcodes are for. How about a downloadable pdf doc to explain everything. Great item at a great price, with a longer guarantee period of 18 months. Would recommend this product without hesitation. A wireless option might also be useful too depending on the use you want this for, I personally want to catalogue my music collection of over 2000 lps, cds and dvd's. Anyone suggest the best software for doing this?

This product was a relief and an amazing product. I have used it within the farming sector and it have been a life saver. So far so good and would definitely recommend.

Does what it says on the tin. Worked straight out of the box. Excellent for scanning tracking barcodes into Ebay.

I bought this scanner to make entering my DVD and Blu-ray collection into DVD Profiler easier than typing in the codes seen on the cases (DVD Profiler is a brilliant piece of software BTW). I hadn't anticipated just how fast this scanner would be to use. 10 DVDs entered in about 20 seconds was the rate at which I was entering them into the software until I reached for the next pile I'd lined up. All I did was plug the scanner lead into my laptop and got scanning by clicking the trigger. I didn't bother to read the booklet either.Very highly recommended, especially at the £15 I paid.

The bar code reader arrived quickly and works fairly well. It seems well made although I'm using it for tests and not in a shop or factory environment so I can't comment on its ruggedness.Occasionally it takes a bit of repositioning to get the scan accepted (just as you see with scanners in shops generally). It's quite comfortable in the hand and reasonably lightweight although I'm not using it all the time.The folded bit of paper which passes for a user manual is extremely minimal but adequate. It consists mostly of bar codes that you can scan to set up the reader (e.g. whether scans should be returned with an added Carriage Return or Line Feed character or whether the scanner should beep or not, scan continuously or only when the trigger is pressed etc.) There are more sophisticated set-ups too but no explanation as to what they do or why they might be required. You may have to refer to your application software to determine what setting you might need for the scanner.I found more useful information by searching on the internet as may of these scanners appear to have the same innards.It has scanned every type of bar code label I have tried (including ones that I generated with on-line bar code generators and printed on a laser printer). As far as the computer is concerned the scanner appears to be a keyboard and it generates the codes by simulating key presses. This means that you can scan bar codes into any text file or any application that accepts text.

Cheap and yet perfectly functional hand-held scanner. Simple to use. Plug it in and when you scan it injects the scanned characters into whatever application you have open, just as though they have come from the keyboard. It also appends a carriage return so that the application knows there has been input. Well made and comfortable in the hand, it is designed to sit on the desk, face down in a stable fashion, ready to be picked up so that it is in the right position for you to start scanning. Amazing value for the price.

Works a treat and the price is very good compared to more expensive models. It reads the barcodes fine and very quick in returning the data. Would certainly buy again.

Se compró esta escaner para un punto de venta del negocio familiar y después de 2 semanas de uso ha funcionado a la perfección. Al enchufarse a la PC donde se encuentra el punto de venta (OS Windows 10) No hubo necesidad de buscar los controladores o de configurar el escaner para que funcione con la PC. Escanea los códigos muy rápido y sin problemas. los únicos artículos que me dieron algo de lata para escanearlos bien y a la primera son bolsitas de papitas como las sabritas pero es porque el código tiene que estar totalmente plano si no el escaner no lo lee. Ich setze den Scanner mit Google Tools (Sheets, etc.) ein. Er dienst als Gerät für ein Zeiterfassungssystem. Ich verwende Code 128 der von einer Badge Karte abgescannt wird. Die Lieferung erfolgte schnell - Top! Das gerät habe ich einfach per USB angeschlossen und wurde sofort erkannt am Chromebook. Ich habe nichts anderes erwartet. Bestätigungston habe ich über die Gebrauchsanweisung ausschalten können. Das Scan-Bild (Breite bei der Ablesung) ist gut. Scann läuft flüssig. Die Gebrauchsanweisung ist etwas mager, aber das war für mich als Profi-Anwender kein Problem. Für Leihen könnte die Anleitung besser sein. Kein Grund für mich aber die volle Punktzahl zu geben, da der Preis wirklich gut ist.

L utilisation de cet appareil est très facile, il suffit de scanner un code barres et le code s affiche automatiquement dans votre logiciel. Il est vendu avec une liste de code pour le configurer, c est assez simple il suffit de scanner et l appareil se programme tour seul. Par exemple si vous ne voulez pas entendre le bip de confirmation il suffit de scanner le code Enable sound et c est réglé. Par contre vendu sans logiciel, donc si vous voulez faire de l inventaire ou de la caisse enregistreuse, il faut acheter un logiciel ou le faire vous même, pour ma part j ai utilisé sous access pour gérer du materiel. Pour géner les codes barres, une simple recherche internet en utilisant les terme « generateur de code barres ».Attention si l appareil a du mal a être détecté sur l usb essayer d autres port.
