Absolutely love this heater. It is much larger than I had thought, but it's superb. It heats my living room up, in no time and it looks really good. Dimplex have got to have the best flame effect going, as it's extremely realistic. The remote control, is also an added bonus. If I had one grouch, it's the fact, that it isn't controlled by a thermostat, so it just blasts it out, till you put it off. However, for the price, as I got mine reconditioned from Amazon, it is a really good heater, for the price. As for the noise, the fan makes - it's a fan - it's not silent and it's not overly noisy either, so I don't see why anyone would complain about that? It does what it's meant to do and that's why I love it, plus it looks good, so I'm chuffed to bits with it. I've just sat mine in the hearth for now, as I will use my open fire on occasions, as you can see from the picture. Also the nest of tables, in the picture, gives you an idea of the size/height of it, I think?

Good looking and well made. The two settings means it heat the room quickly but can be turned down and the thermostat can be set where you want it. Very pleased.

Fits perfectly into our 43cm size cast iron fire surround. By fitting it inside the fireplace it reduces the noise of the fan that some people have found annoying. The electric cable is quite short and the fire has a moulded 13amp 3 pin plug fitted.The coals are very small and it may be useful to have a pair of disposable gloves handy when placing them onto the firebed as they are dirty.Both doors open from the centre. The flame effect is good though it is not top of the range. The manual switches are located on the right lower side which could be awkward if the fire is fitted in a recess.The heat settings are adequate for this type of fire though if used as a main source of heating it may be uneconomical.The build quality is good and the fire is sturdy. There are better out there but for the price I am happy with my purchase.

This is a very nice fire for the money. There is a quiet hum when the flame effect only is selected and the fan is a little noisier but it's not particularly intrusive. You can switch the fire on and off using the remote but cannot select flame effect, heat 1 or heat 2 independently, using it. If I need the heating or just the flame I pre-select it on the fire then it can be switched on and off at that setting using the remote. Looks are good and the flame effect is very realistic. The unit comes with a few bits of real coal to put on top of the fire bed to make it look a bit more realistic.

It took me ages to decide which electric stove to buy! Originally I had been looking closely at stoves twice the width and three times the price of this one. Eventually I decided against an expensive model with the 'mist' flame effect as they seemed too pricy and the 'mist' seemed like just one more thing to go wrong. I couldn't be more pleased with this Springborne stove. The size is ideal for my TV room, anything larger would be overwhelming. It looks good - granted the flames are not entirely natural but I am not trying to pretend it is a real coal fire. The heat will be more than enough to warm up the room if the central heating is not on. There is the fan noise but it will only be used in a room where people are watching TV and talking, so it is a minor background noise. Finally it was great, for once, to take something out of its packaging and plug it straight in ready to go, without having to assemble any fiddly little bits.

Bought this in February 2019 and it has now stopped working. Not used very often for it break so soon. I loved it until this happened. Is it under guarantee??
