I have tried a few different socket protectors over the years. To be honest they were all easy to lose, or had to basically give up using that socket due to the protector. I do know that electrical sockets are a hazard, especially with little ones running around. For some reason they are always putting stuff where it doesn't belong, and electricity can be extremely dangerous. I had to do something to take away the risks.The Block-It-Socket is a complete and total game changer!!! Fully functional, and I can still utilize both sections of my socket when needed. You screw Block-It-Socket over your current socket and it just stays there, so no more losing protectors while that socket is needed. And when I am done, I just plug the protector right back in. This socket protector is great, ours arrived just before thanksgiving and we are traveling to an Airbnb with a ton of young nephews and nieces.I love that you can still access your plugs without taking the whole unit out, but that it protects against a young child putting their fingers in the socket. It is not extremely easy to get the socket protector out of the wall, but that’s the point!!!!!Delivery was great and product is as advertised. Highly recommend, will buy more.

Great to use while baby proofing a house. Really like that its Made in the US. Far better than having individual plugs since they get lost or stepped on. Awesome gift to give to family members who are expecting or have little ones!

Minimal packaging. Very little waste. The product is installed in seconds and my kids’ playroom is now secure! So easy to use and install. They look great. They were designed in the USA. They are made in the USA by a family-owned business. What more can a guy or gal ask for?

It looks good, went together smoothly, and the covers pressed in easily. The problem was that they were impossible to pull back out. I had to use the screwdriver to get them started.The 2nd was half of a quad box in my garage. In this case, I didn't care about baby proofing, I just wanted an easy way to keep grinder dust out of the outlets when not in use. I'm not sure if it was the metal cover of the box or the outlet itself, but this one was very loose. It works well to keep the dust out and is easy to open and close, but it would be useless for baby proofing.The 3rd was another standard outlet with a metal plate. This was similar to the first, but not as tight, and I was able to open it with only a little struggle.I think the level of "grip" is highly dependent on how much the outlet has been used. The garage one was the oldest and had seen some use. The metal plate one was newer, but is frequently used. The first one is rarely used.I also expect these to get a bit easier with use, so I'm leaving it at 4 stars. My metric is whether I prefer these over the traditional plug covers, and I currently do. If that changes, this may drop a star. I really like the idea here, and hope future batches are tweaked a little to make them less snug.

This is actually genius. For new walkers and crawlers this is a fantastic option because they can’t quite figure it out and we as parents don’t have to constantly remove the other pin style covers every time we need to use the outlet. However for toddlers and bigger kids these won’t work because my 17 month old has already figured out how to open the flap.

These covers are nice and do work but they are not perfect. The outlet in the picture is old, loose, and needs to be replaced. It's so loose that the top cover won't stay in; my toddler can flip it open and closed quite easily. That said, it's still an improvement over the typical outlet cover. My toddler can't put it in his mouth and walk away with this one.The only other thing we've noticed is that the plastic connecting the plug to the holder screwed into the wall is very thin. We're not sure how well it's going to hold up to frequent and repeated opening and closing.Overall, this is a great idea and it does work well. It was easy to install and the outside frame fits well. If you don't have older or loose outlets, you probably won't have the same issue.
