Superior Heavy Weight Gi. Best durability and finishing guaranteed. Tournament cut with longer jacket, shorter sleeves and shorter trousers. This uniform is the best-selling original Shureido brand karate-gi over the last 20 years; made in Okinawa, Japan. Note: Compared with the model K-10 this uniform, the TK-10 has the so called "Tournament-Cut": The jacket is a bit wider and half a size longer, the sleeves are shorter (to leave wrists free) and the trousers are shorter too (to leave the ankles free). Attention: The "Recommended Size" in the sizing chart (one of the product images) will result in a rather wide and long fit. If you prefer a more adjusted fit and to avoid a later size exchange and related additional costs, please check CAREFULLY the measurements (shown as another of the product images) for this karate uniform model before ordering and then decide if you should may be go for a smaller size or not.

The absolute best Gi on the planet.
I have been interested in the Shureido gi for years, but never had the chance to purchase one as they can be tough to find, and I refuse to deal with Shureido USA. I found this in my size and in stock from this seller and immediately ordered it.When it arrived, I was totally overwhelmed by just how *perfect* it was. The stitching was straight, the seams were well done, and the material had a pleasant heft to it. The fabric had the slight bluish tinge that it's known for, and it looks like the lapels will stand up to heavy use.I have all three of the top made uniforms, and can compare them side by side to give an idea of what I base my review on. Strictly speaking, the fabric used on the Shureido, the Tokaido Ultimate, and the Hirota Heavyweight seems fairly similar. All three feel heavy and substantial, and made with quality and attention to detail. Where the Shureido really stands out, however, is the fit. The Tokaido would fit great if you're tall and skinny. The sleeves also have a taper on the Tokaido that I dislike. The Hirota is great, but a little slim cut as well. The shureido feels like it was made to not restrict movement whatsoever. I put it on and went through a full range of motion and never once felt the uniform pull or hinder my movements.I'm 177cm, 87kg, and the 5 fits me perfectly. Pay close attention to the fitting chart, as these are a full cut. This is also the only karate gi I will buy in the future. Worth every penny.

Large but very nice Gi!
This gi is great! I am 5’6” and 195 lbs. I ordered a size 5. The top fits well and goes around my chest well. The pants are very large on my frame. It would be nice to be able to buy a size 5 too and size 4 or 4.5 pants.I have a lot of hemming to do on the pants.

I was pretty excited And opened up the package right away
I ordered this a couple weeks ago and it has finally arrived. They used DHL to deliver it. DHL said they would get it to my house on Tuesday and it didn't get delivered and then on Wednesday and it didn't get delivered and finally it arrived on Thursday. I was pretty excited And opened up the package right away. Unfortunately it was not even in the plastic bag it was suppose to come in. The bag was shredded and had been opened. There is nothing on the bag to identify it is a Shureido gi also......anyways the gi does seem nice and does come with the slight blue color shureido gis are known for but it didn't have the shureido symbol on the back of the neck that I have seen on other gi's( it did have patches on the jacket and pants sewed on though). So not entirely sure if this is a legitimate Shureido with the way it arrived with no packaging and no shureido symbol on the back of the jacket behind your neck area. It's still seems like a quality gi though.

we think it's probably because it was not custom made like when you purshased directly from Shureido
It was larger than expected, we think it's probably because it was not custom made like when you purshased directly from Shureido. Still it is a real Shureido.

The best Gi! At first I didn't like the tournament cut because the sleeves are a bit short. My other Shureido is regular cut. I decided to keep it because my size 3 wasn't available. I'm 5'7", 125 lbs. Now I love it.

I'm out $25 in shipping because a gi supposed to fit someone 220 lbs would only fit Shaquille O'Neal if he let himself go.
