Great looking
This is fab. Had a few issues fixing it but that is because of our walls, not because of the beam. it is very heavy, solid and looks amazing. thanks

good brackets - buy your retaining bolts AFTER you have the brackets in hand
I used 2 of these to support a 4 foot oak beam. 3 months later, the beam and wall are still in place. I have seen other people advising on using more brackets to support that sort of load (approx 20kg) whilst I cannot advise against this, 2 was sufficient for me. I would buy the brackets first then take them to the DIY shop to buy your bolts, the ones I had purchased didnt fit through the holes, so I had to open them up a bit first.

New Mantlepiece or feature fireplace?
Product arrived well packaged and in advised time period. Our builder so impressed he has taken details of Celtic Timber and will be utilizing their products whenever a customer asks for a new mantle. Looks great above our new woodburner!!!

Would have been nice if celtic timbers had told me this that way ...
Ordered timber for a shelf. Both came on time brackets as well . Only thing was is that no holes were drilled in the wood. So now i have to go out and buy a drill bit and do this myself. Would have been nice if celtic timbers had told me this that way i would have had a choice not to buy this. Will not buying anything from celtic timbers again.
