I was a little skeptical of ordering the 16 inch model because I thought it might be too big for my night table. However, it is sleek enough so that it does not take up a lot of space. It is certainly less bulky than the first lava lamp I owned 30+ years ago. This lava lamp operates in the same manner as my first one. Same bubbly orange goo (wax) floating to the top and back to the bottom in all types of weird sizes. Looks great on my night table ! I hate to be nit picky but I wish the top would screw on instead of just sitting there loose. Otherwise, this lamp was super-easy to assemble. I'm not even going to call it that since all I had to do was put the glass part on the aluminum base and the top aluminum cap on top then plug it in. Took less than 2 minutes. Like the instructions state, it takes about 2 hours before all the action starts. Then all you have to do is sit there and guaze, you will be amazed !

Paid a little less for this one. My other one from another place works PERFECT! This is ALL this thing has done in hours! Have tried shutting off, letting cool and running for hours several times NOTHING! CHEAPLY MADE!! Bought ANOTHER one, Tried 2 days STILL didn't work. Paid a Little more from another company, worked great 1st day! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE YOU'LL REGRET IT!!! RETURNED 2!!! JUNK!!!

This is the first lava lamp that I’ve purchased (online) in a LOOOOOOONG time that actually works like it’s supposed to. The seem on the glass has a weird/strange appearance but that is my only complaint. Other than that, it looks and works great!

Takes a very long time to heat up....over 2 hours. Could probably stand to have a stronger bulb but once it's working, it looks really cool.

THIS IS A WONDERFUL LOOK FOR A BOYS OR GIRLS ROOMWE LIKED IT SO MUCH I ORDERED ONEFOR GRANDSON'S BEDROOM WITH HIS MOMOUT OF TOWN, HE WAS SO HAPPY TO HAVE IT THERE TOO.HE LOVES THE LAMP. I DO TOO. THANKS
