Briers B0074 Pond and Drain Glove, Green, 63.5 x 13 x 0.5 cm

These are really good. Generously sized, thick PVC gloves, flock lined. I'm around a size 7-8 glove size, my OH is around 10, and they're fine for both of us. The gauntlet part, also flock lined PVC, has been well bonded on to the glove, long enough and wide enough to comfortably fit up to mid-upper arm, men or women.I bought these back in 2014 for clearing a yard drain that regularly gets choked with stone chippings. It's a horrible job clearing the gulley and trap of chippings and mud to get the drain running freely. If it isn't done, it overflows, freezing in winter, turning the yard turn into a glacier, and my poor hands would be bruised and blue with cold, and the job needs doing at least two or thee times a year.These gloves have kept my hands and arms clean, dry and comfortable. The gloves just hose off clean, dry well and store well without any special care, they haven't cracked, stuck or peeled. My OH rates them, and so do I.I don't know how long they would last if they were being used every day, but for occasional, domestic use, they've been a godsend.

Bought these to clear out the limescale and other deposits that seem to form just out of sight in the u bends of toilets in our extremely hard water area and they are brilliant for it. We have just bought a house and it turns out the person who lived there before us was a complete skank. Under the cupboards in the utility room we found actual cat turds which were making the place reek. Given I have long arms, muggins here was front and centre in the cleanup operation and I have never been more thankful for whole arm protection in my life. Considering the cost, there are a really worthwhile investment.With regards to sizing, I'm a biggish bloke (6 foot 1) and I have largish hands with long fingers and I found they fitted me fine, but my wife (a petite 5 foot 2) looked hilarious in them and she could not use them at all as she has very small hands.

I bought these for pretty much one thing - to unclog a a foul drain. I'd already tried to unclog it without gloves, but by the time I was past my elbow and drawing blood from scratches I decided to get some long gloves before I was infected by 17 different types of plague.These gloves are quite thick and seem well constructed. They reach almost to my shoulder, and the opening is elasticated to hold it up. Although constructed in two parts, they were waterproof and didn't let in any of the foul water. It felt like they were leaking a ton though but when I'd finished the job and took them off there wasn't a drop inside.My only real problem with this is the glove itself is huge, far too big for my hands. I had absolutely no precision at all and so cleared out less goop with these than I did sans gloves.Should I need to use these gloves again, I'll try wearing another pair of winter gloves underneath and see if that helps. As it is right now, they are so large as to be fairly useless for sifting goop out the bottom of a deep drain.

Bought these to help in cleaning out a blocked toilet waste pipe. I have large hands (L in other house hold gloves) so the fit was good in that it was not too tight or too loose that I could not feel the tools I was using. The length enabled me to cover my entire arm up the the armpit practically. During use I saw no signs of damage to the rubber although I made contact with the entrance of the piping neither did I experience any leakage fortunately..

I was very pleased and satisfied with the service, packaging and prompt arrival of this product. However the only reason I gave them four stars is that they were a gift for my dad and I feel the sizing needs to be a bit more accurate; I'd ordered medium, and they were huge! I'd read previous reviews where people had put they came up large, which is why I went for a medium as my dad would normally take a large, but they are still bigger than I expected with plenty of room for another pair of gloves if not two, to go underneath for the winter months. The product themselves are brilliant and water tight and do the job they were purchased for, except giving you precision grip because of they're size so I think better sizing instruction should be provided.

I used this for cleaning my fish tank rather than a pond and would say that it worked fairly well. My tank is quite deep so I had to keep pulling up the sleeves to make sure that no water was able to creep in over the sides. The gloves are rather thick around the fingers and hands so it was difficult for me to do intricate work as I would fumble objects frequently but in a pond or drain it is unlikely you need to be as precise.Other than that it did make my tank cleaning experience better so I would give it 4 stars based on cleaning tanks.
