PETZL Tikkina Headlamp

I had a previous model which was partly luminous, which I found unhelpful (it shone when you wanted it to be dark, and the luminosity ran out when it was in my rucksack); also you had to go through the brightest light to get to the "off" state. In this version both issues have gone away: nothing luminous, and although there are now three brightness settings (good!), you can turn off from the lowest setting without going through brighter lights which might not be appropriate. Otherwise, as always with Petzl, lightweight, good headband (works for me and I have a big head), excellent build quality. And acceptable price! Can't comment on battery life yet. I use it for domestic tasks and night-time walking.

Great little lamp, helped us during night trek on Ben Nevis. I used it all the time on 3rd (brightest) mode and batteries last about 7 hours (aaa batteries). I think on dedicated battery pack it would last a little bit longer. Flashlight is quiet light, has adjustable strap and after few minutes you forget that you have something on your forehead.

If you do stuff outside not in floodlit areas or ever work under cars or doing DIY and need a third hand to hold the torch this is for you.It's light, bright and adjustable. It sits permanently on top of the microwave, ready to chuck on for doing the bins, taking out the veg waste to the compost bin etc. I imagine it would be ideal for camping too.Had this for probably nearly a year and with regular short uses it's still on it's first batteries.The adjustable brightness when you turn it on is useful and easy to cycle through.If you think you need one, you probably do and without having tried lots of different ones this one is really good.

Having bought a few of these as presents for other people, I decided that I should get one for myself. They're superb little head-torches, with excellent battery life and a nice beam.The most recent one seems to be a newer model than those I've had previously. It has a slightly different case design and the button operation is slightly different; overall I think it's an improvement on the previous version.For the money, I wouldn't buy anything else. Yes, you *can* get cheaper LED head torches, but all the ones I've seen are either much heavier or much flimsier. This is a nice balance and they last for years.

Love this headtorch. It has three levels of brightness. I go out fat bloke running in nearby lanes and it's pitch dark, this headtorch cuts through well. I've used it in drizzly rain whilst out running. Batteries seem to last well. I've got an older version which doesn't have three levels of brightness. Older one I use for out in the garden when I have to put out the bins. These are great quality products. 👍

Looks good, feels ok on, great price...Bought it for a festival but didn’t use so unable to comment on practical use and battery life... but happy for now.

After using a bunch of cheaper budget headlamps I thought I'd use a brand name I've heard of. This does the job better than the rest I tried around the same price. The dimmest mode is ideal for in the tent, used it as a reading light often. The 2 brighter modes are great, it won't illuminate the whole landscape but i was really surprised at how far the brightest setting let me see. It made trekking back to my tent so much easier in the dark, I could see the route ahead clearly and far enough I didn't have to worry about tripping or falling into a hole. Battery life with aaa is good my cheaper ones would of needed a replacement by now, the option to buy a rechargable petzl battery is useful but I've still to get that (but I will)

This is at the entry level for Petzl but for my purposes (light outdoor walking, and fiddling around indoors) it's perfect. The headband has a good range of adjustment, the lamp itself can be angled up or down, and the button operation feels solid. I was amazed to find three levels of brightness, with the medium output pretty bright and the maximum setting almost too strong. If you're not potholing or trekking, nor walking the dog in a downpour, but just need an 'ordinary' headlamp, this should do the job. According to the Petzl website it's rated IPX4 (water splashes from any direction for at least five minutes) and takes three AAA batteries, including Ni-MH rechargeables. Alternatively it will take Petzl's own CORE rechargeable.

Soy cirujano, una lampara frontal, es herramienta magnífica, a pesar de mis dudas resultó excelente. De facto espero conseguir otra con mayor potencia, ya que las lámparas exprofeso para cirugía con excesivamente caras, y las conseguiré, llevo 6-8 meses de uso. es una herramienta de trabajo ligera, cómoda, ojalá pueda adquirir otra con mayor potencia, la recomiendo mucho.

Originalmente pedí este producto en color negro pero por error me llegó en azul, cosa que me alegro porque me gusta mucho más.Usado durante 4 días en una experiencia de supervivencia cumplió perfectamente.En el nivel de iluminación mínima permite realizar tareas próximas como fijar el tarp, la hamaca, el saco, colocar piquetas, realizar nudos... Ofrece una autonomía espectacular con unos 2 metros de alcance.El segundo nivel de potencia aumenta considerablemente el brillo, permitiendo desplazamiento en busca de recursos como leña, agua...El tercer nivel no aumenta el brillo en la misma proporción que en el caso anterior pero amplía considerablemente el campo de visión.Los materiales y acabados son muy correctos. Muy útil la posibilidad de fijar la orientación en varias inclinaciones para trabajos manuales a corta distancia. Ligero y de ajuste cómodo.Sería interesante la posibilidad de bloquear el pulsador para evitar encendidos accidentales sin necesidad de estraer una pila.Recomendado. No es necesario comprar un modelo superior.

Leí buenas reseñas sobre este modelo. Aún sin usar, espero sea tan buena como promete la marca, llegó bien y sin daños en el empaque; en el tiempo estimado de entrega.
