I dont know why other people are saying about "fart in the bag" regarding this product. This is as good as it gets as far as BCAAs. First of all, I am not willing to eat detivatives of duck feathers and this product being out of plant sources solves that problem. Secondly, there is really NO smell to it, it kind of smells like raw mushrooms. Thirdly, I am not interested in extra crap like sugar additives, synteric flavorings or colors, and this unflavored version is just that - no any other things. It actually diassolves pretty good in water, yes, by itself it tastes slightly bitter, best way is to mix it is with water and scoop of one of those "superfoods" green powders, we love Amazing grass brand (super clean product with no heavy metals, etc) in berry flavor. Also, bottle with wheel (instead of ball) works th best. I shake it for about 10 sec, let it stand for few and then shake it again (consider this part of your arm workout warm up, lol). Definetly noticed less soreness and more lean muscle. Great product, Love it.

This product is just the BCAA, no filler, no flavor. The product, on the site page, warns that this product without flavor has a particular taste/smell that may be difficult for some people. For me, it makes me think of chlorinated water. However, I have no complaint, as the lack of fillers and flavor mean I have a much better idea of what I'm ingesting. Plus, when mixed in a smoothie, you don't really notice it. Mixed with just water...it takes some getting used to, or being really thirsty.As for product effectiveness, I cannot say with scientific certainty. However, for me, I feel the product absolutely helps with recovery. I also take a lesser dose than that recommended, as I feel the product still works at this lower dose and I feel better about it. No noted side effects, no issues with product consistency over many months.Will purchase again. Happy to have stumbled upon this brand. I take only three supplements, but want to know, as best I can, what I am putting into my body.Happy Hunting!

I really hate to deduct one star on this seemingly fantastic company, but I just can't find a good place for this in most people's supplement program due to the bitter taste.I have become a fan of the purity of nutrabio lately and have been highly recommending it across the board. I initially became a fan of BCAAs in 2010 and had used Xtend by Scivation intra workout since - there was clearly benefit in a delay to exhaustion. But after the proposition 65 warning label suddenly appeared on it, I started thinking of all the additives this unregulated industry uses. Given the recent trend in supplements providing full label disclosure I'm not alone. Here we have pure BCAAs.TASTE: The nutrabio website tells you in bold letters that this tastes bad alone, and they themselves recommend against taking it alone due to the taste of pure aminos. I always mix my BCAAs in Gatorade or preworkout and hoped there would be no significant taste in these instances. In my intraworkout drink 1L of water which contains one scoop of gatorade (21g of carbs worth) and a scoop of BCAA's, no big difference. However, in 15oz of water with my Assault, it corrupts the taste with a definite bitterness. The lesson here is that you need a lot of dilution. If you are going to drink it alone I would recommend their lemon lime which tastes great, and has replaced my Xtend.MIXING: Some reviews talk about clumping, that's true probably since there is nothing added to make it mix easier, but it will definitely dissolve in a standard 1L nalgene type bottle in the same amount of time it used to take me to dissolve Xtend. If you are using a shaker bottle (with a grate) there are no issues at all.

This "UNFLAVORED" NUTRA BIO stuff taste like A**. I tried to exchange it but Amazon vendor told me they couldn't, SO I went to NutraBio directly they first said they would exchange it but when I tried to actually do it I could never get a response from the customer care department. Their email said they would but with no details and my subsequent 3 emails requesting information rang on deaf ears. I ended up using the product but mixing it with my pre work out CELLUCOR C4 which taste great. This stuff doesnt mix well either lots of residue left in container. WILL NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT AGAIN EVEN IF IT TASTE GREAT DUE TO LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE BY VENDOR AND MFG.

I feel compelled to review this product due to some of the other reviewers not being able to read the product description.NutraBio clearly states that this product tastes bad by itself. It does. It tastes horrible. It's like eating a ZipLoc bag that someone farted in. And there's nothing you can really do about it, as its taste overpowers everything I've thrown at it. Almond milk, PBFit, protein powder, etc, doesn't help.But that's exactly why this product is so wonderful. It's not loaded with a ton of fillers, mixers and, the worst, Sucralose. It's straight up BCAAs - which are known to taste bad.If you care about your health, take this. No question. Just expect to have a taste that resembles chewing a handful of Ibuprofen.If you don't care about your health, and you want to consume ingredients that you cannot pronounce, buy something that tastes good that's loaded with scientifically modified ingredients.It's pretty simple. If you're serious about your health, for the price, this cannot be beat!
