Useful accessory for model kit builders
The LydeLog DIY Model Shelf Stand is a stand meant to hold the plastic runners for hobby model kits. I tested this with both a Bandai kit and a Kotobukiya ZOIDS kit. The vertical backside, the spacing between slots is smaller than it should be and the runners get stuck in it or have to be pushed into the slots. The bottom side slots are correct in sizing, the runners slide and out easily from back to front or picking up from the top. The stand is at an angle which helps keep the runners in place since they are not at a perfect 90 degrees. The base has cut out handles so you can lift it without having to find a way to hold it. It is made of a solid and thick material that did not crack or damage when I accidentally dropped it. Overall, this makes building kits easier since you are able to keep the runners organized and accessible. The LydeLog DIY Model Shelf Stand is not necessary, but it is very useful.

Not every runner fits in the slot
I have built several model kits while using this stand to hold my runners. Not every runner fits in here. Some are thicker and bigger so it's kind of awkward. Either way, it reduced the amount of space needed so it's fine. What i like:- Sturdy plastic- When it holds the runners, it's a great fitWhat i dont like:- Not every runner fits in here. They should've made the slots a bit bigger to fit a wider array of runners

Good only if you're building 1/144 size Gunpla
I got this specifically to hold my Gundam sprues, but find that the grooves are too narrow to hold many 1/100 sized MG size sprues. If you're only building 1/144 gunpla then I guess it's ok. I don't know why they don't just widen the grooves a little bit so it can accommodate both sizes.

Strong plastic scent
This came straight out of a 3d printer or from the factory because the plastic scent was so strong. It works well for keeping my runners in place so itโs a great concept. However, there is room for it to improve.

Very simple item
Just got mine today...very simple item, the plastic feels okay not too cheap and thin. Thick enough to hold those things. It is a helpful product while im assemble things. It comes as one piece so no need to assemble.

Simple. But doesnโt fit all sprues
Thicker sprues do not fit in the slots. Could be a tad deeper

Really useful for keeping sprue-trees in order.
I enjoy building model kits in my spare time (which seems to be few and far between of late). Usually, when building a larger, or more detailed kit, I end-up having the part sprue-trees laying about my work area or, worse yet, stacked in one of the kit box lids. This makes for unnecessary searching about for the correct tree and the part(s) you are looking for.So I came across this in the Vine program offerings and thought it was a great idea. I ordered it and it has made a wonderful difference in keeping me organized during a build. I admit, the ship kit I used for the photo doesn't really show how useful the stand is for keeping the trees organized. But an upcoming build I have planned will give it a good workout. I really do like it and think that anyone building plastic model kits would find this a practical and useful tool to have on their project table.I hope that you have found my review and pics to be useful. Happy building!
