This is a hefty hand crafted bar that comes nicely packaged in its own box with a loofah like pad to rest the soap on, and the soap in a pretty bag along with decorative tissue and shreds in the box. It would be a nice gift presentation. The soap has a great smell and has an interesting pattern pressed into one side and the brand logo on the other side. It includes good oils like shea butter and avocado. Lather is thinner than I prefer - I like handmade soaps that have a nice creamy foam to them and this was lighter than I like, but still got the job done. Since the bar is dark brown, don't be surprised that the lather is light brown - that's typical for a dark bar like this.

I can smell it before I even take it out of the box. It’s a wonderful color, dark red, almost purple. The smell is wonderful, rich and full. The bar is big, a full handful.Installation/setup: Take out of box and bag, use as soap.Final thoughts: The ends are rustic cut and it makes it a bit easier to hold onto in the shower. I really like the mat it came with. It will let this bar dry out after shower without disappearing in a puddle. I have used this soap every shower since I received it. I like it that much. It lathers well and the smell of sandalwood and the botanicals fills the shower and bathroom. The fragrance lingers just right without being obnoxious and overpowering. I catch whiffs of the soap smell even hours later. I really like this soap.⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

pricey for just a 5 oz bar of soap

This is an exquisite, luxurious bar of soap. If you are a fan of sandalwood, you will be in heaven; the scent is strong and richly layered, wrapping your whole body in a cloud of warm woodsy incense with a touch of sweetness. The scent is strong on the bar and will linger on your skin for hours after washing with it.Each bar of soap is pressed into a mold, so there’s a design on the surface of both sides. When you wash, it gives a slight texture to the bar that is pleasant against the skin. The bar is also slightly exfoliating.The packaging is exquisite. You could certainly give this as a fancy gift. Everything comes in a cardboard box, inside which is the soap in a small organza bag. There’s also a soap mat to help extend the life of each bar of soap.

Seriously, this soap smells absolutely amazing, and I can't get enough of it! The scent is heady, herbal, woodsy, and exotic. This soap lathers up a light brown shade, but I'm used to charcoal soaps doing the same except grey, so this wasn't a surprise. The scent is strong and lingers on my skin, and it mixes very well with my natural scent. It's close to the unisex/masculine fragrances that I like to wear, and it's very enchanting.The soap creates a thin lather that rinses easily, and doesn't dry out my skin too much. I really like the drying mat this came with to help preserve the soap even longer, because I never want this bar to run out! The soap had a strong sandalwood scent and it came with a soap saver mat. I loved that the soap came with this because I need a new one. The soap had an okay lather and left skin feeling clean. The soap does leave a brown residue on my soap tray but, it didn't stain it and came out easily with water.

Smells great and cleans well.
