Excellent band. Really good songs. They never dissapoint. Arrived quickly and in good condition.

Great album with some excellent tracks

This is very strange as when I play the Vinyl at 33.5rpm it sounded slower than it should and I was about to send it back until I flicked it to 45RPM and then it played normally idk if anyone else will find this or if Katatonia are trying to be clever. But the album itself is amazing musically love it

Solid album. The track Impermanence is incredible. Deserves a good hi fi system.

would actually give this album 3.5 stars but im feeling generous. The music lies somewhere between Opeth and Porcupine Tree and there is no doubt the band are talanted musicisns the sound quality is superb but the songs are lacking with no real standout tracks its pleasent to listen to but sort of meanders along without stirring any emotions .Its the sort of album to sit down and listen to with a drink and get lost in its etheral tones and drift along on the sound waves , there is enough spark so you wont fall asleep but not enough to stir you into a mosh frenzy its a sort of heavyish chill out album which is not a bad thing depending on your mood .I like it but just want it to give me a bit more to think about .

"Masters of melancholic metal" Indeed. "Dark-prog - sumptuous sullenness" Also true. Id say hauntingly beautiful and atmospheric with elaborate guitar riffs, mesmerizing lyricism, gloomy ambience with epic sounds and poetic lyrics. Anyway you look at it this is a damn fine album, accessible to the casual listener and rewarding for the expert.

If you like that kind of metal music, you will quickly appreciate high quality of the songs and lyrics. Highly recommended!

Magnífico álbum, muy en la línea de City Burials, Fall of Hearts y Dead end Kings, excelente el trabajo de producción, frías atmósferas nostálgicas y sombrías, la presentación de 10, digibook de pasta dura hecho en Alemania, llegó en excelentes condiciones y 4 días antes de la fecha señalada, solo 1 detalle, tal vez Amazon debería ser más específico con cada artículo respecto de la edición de que se trata pues no da mayores detalles en la publicación, afortunadamente fue justo la versión que buscaba 10/10

Vraiment spécial, j'ai passé proche de retourner le vinyle, c'est vraiment par hasard que j'ai changé ma courroie pour le mettre en mode 45 tours et le tour est joué la musique est de retour en mode normal !!! Pour le reste bien c'est du Katatonia vraiment très bon 🤘

Katatonia sind auch nicht mehr die, die sie mal waren. Nach "Viva Emptiness" aus dem Jahr 2003 war doch die Luft raus, die letzten Alben sind ohnehin total langweilig. Nein, diese Aussage kommt nicht von mir - es ist nur das übliche Früher-war-alles-besser-Geseier, das man immer wieder im Internet liest. Ich habe Katatonia erst relativ spät für mich entdeckt. Zwar kannte ich die schwedische Band schon länger, doch den ersten ernsthaften Annäherungsversuch zur Musik machte ich mit "Night is the New Day" im Jahr 2009. Mittlerweile kenne ich zumindest den Großteil von Katatonias Alben, schlecht finde ich keines davon - aber ich habe eben keine nostaligische Bindung zu den älteren Werken. Das hilft gleichzeitig dabei, unvoreingenommener an die neuen heranzugehen.Und das führt uns zu "Sky Void of Stars", dem immerhin schon zwölften Album Katatonias. Nach dem guten, aber nicht herausragenden Vorgänger "City Burials" (2020) hat die Truppe um den Sänger und das einzige verbliebene Gründungsmitglied Tobias Renkse wieder einen echten Volltreffer gelandet. Es ist der Band gelungen, den eigenen Stil aus Dark Metal und Progressive Rock so fortzuführen, dass es vertraut klingt, aber zugleich keine Wiederholung darstellt. Die Songs auf dem Album ist angenehm vielseitig, in gewohnter Weise melancholisch und zum Teil sogar regelrecht eingängig. Zum Beispiel ist direkt der Opener "Austerity" mit genug Widerhaken ausgestattet, um dauerhaft im Gedächtnis zu bleiben. "Sky Void of Stars" ist ein wundervolles Werk, das aus meiner Sicht problemlos mit den Highlights der Katatonia-Diskografie mithalten kann. Diese Band klingt nicht mehr so wie früher? Das ist mir ja mal so was von egal.
