Ordered this to replace the Harbor Breeze remote that's operates our our back porch fan/light.Ours was missing the battery cover when we bought the house and that has always bothered me.Visually, this is nearly an exact replica of the factory remote, both front and back. Internally, they appear identical.They take an A23 battery. It is not included.Not a common size but easily found on Amazon or at Wally World.Setup was simple, instructions were clear.It came with the dip switches all in the up position, just like the old remote was set up. It did not want to connect, so I jumped to the third setup option and used the connect button. Worked like a champ, first try.Very pleased with it, great value for the money, looks and works like the factory remote.

Bought this as a gamble to replace a lost Kichler remote as the manufacturer wanted about five times the price of this one. Fortunately for me, the fan’s receiver pins were left on factory settings by the electrician. I just popped in a battery and it worked right away.

Works like it should. Easy to program.

This remote works well but was shipped without the battery cover. My old battery cover fits but is a different color. I can't reach the seller so I will probably return the remote. This is a hassle.

I bought a house a few months ago and did not get working remotes for 3 of the ceiling fans/lights. Its been really frustrating not being able to turn on a light in my living room (there is no wall switch for it) and not being able to turn off the fans in my garage and office. Sitting there in a sweater at my desk when its 85 degrees outside because the fan is on any time I turn on the light.... WELL NOT ANYMORE!! I have Harbor Breeze fans and looked thru lots of listings on Amazon but wasn't sure which to choose. I took a chance on this one and it has so many different possible codes, it actually ended up working on all my fans/lights !!!. Now I need to buy two more of them to code one for each fixture. So glad I found this remote, its inexpensive and inconspicuous mounted on the wall. Happy and warm at last !

Tested, works light and fan. Time will tell how well it works. Beige not white

The installation guide is not great, but you can figure it out as long you remember/keep track of your old wiring. Unit is bigger and shaped different, so keep that in mind, but it works much better than the original. Love the dimming function.
