action
I'm glad they didn't turn this into a comedy which a lot of Dwayne's films have been. This all action film was really good, I was surprised that Dwayne came into the fray with less fighting skills than I thought he would have. Especially at the beginning. They developed more at the middle to end. Well worth a watch.

It's exactly what you expect.
Look if you want Thespians then you go for a Branagh film,if you want a punch up with lots of action then you go for a film like this.It was fast paced, had lots of action and not overlong. The love angle did seem as if it was was thrown in as a necessary afterthought, but hey who cares?,it's a film that is inexpensive and passes along quite nicely,it's a bit like the type of first film you used to get in a double feature at the cinema, showing my age there aren't I?.

Whats not to love about this film....
Probably my favourite of all Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's early films, or even any wrestlers that went to the film industry. Losing that feel of over acting for the crowd like in wrestling, Dawyne Johnson plays a man, returning home from the military, to find everything he knew about his hometown had changed, and not for the better. Trying to stand up for whats right, he takes a hell of a beating but rises up, walks tall and in the end, kicks butt left right and center!
