Tiffen 77BPM12 77mm Black Pro-mist 1/2 Filter

Superb filter. It works really well for portraiture to smooth out skin. I also love the diffuser effect I get around lights when shooting at night. It gives a more ethereal feel. The 1/2 is perhaps a little string for what I need, if I were to buy this again I’d go for the 1/4. Still no regrets buying it.

Filter is very nice, definitively more noticeable than the 1/8 and 1/4 in terms of effect, good for certain shots. I enjoy having these three to combine between different shots, and still have continuity (video).I was afraid of delivery problems because of the glass fragility but it all arrived in perfect conditions!

Great filter for beautiful photos in fog, rain and with poor light.

Seems bit pricey but works fine ..it definitely adds cinematic look for Bmpcc 4k footage . Looking forward to get 1/4 black promist very soon

Great Piece of glass.

Arrived sealed. Yet, covered in dirt and dust and fingerprints. However, after cleaning it up, no scratches and works perfectly.I bought the half (1/2) and my eye barely detected it… until taking it off and side by siding it. 😍 - in darkly lit photos and video, it creates a smoky hazy atmosphere. Great on candles and salt lamps. But, also on super bright white led panels and strips. Looks stunning if you find a good setup. It boosts your bokeh in a way you think it’s only possible with a more expensive lens. Well, on a cheaper entry lens, 50mm 1.8 your giving the final project an almost more “expected to be expensive” look. Absolutely saving up to by a couple more grades and brands of this type of lens filter! I bought the 58 and a step up ring 52 to 58 so I can use on my 35 and 50mm lens. If you have more money and a wider set, go larger and buy step up or down rings. Bargain. £49 for 2 sizes, essentially.
