Cloverleaf Blanket Answer Blanketweed Treatment 2kg

This stuff is magical. I had a lot of string algea, because my pond gets direct sunlight all day long and is not shaded. I was tired of removing algae by hand on a daily bases. I tried adding benficial bacteria, and barley straw to my pond, but nothing was working. Didn't want to use harsh algaecides for fear of killing my koi. So after extensiv research on the Internet I found cloverleaf blanket answer. Watched the video and decided to give it a try. Since i am in the US and nobody carries it over here, I had to order it from Amazon UK. Thank you Amazon for international shipping! I dosed according to the instructions. Stuff turned my pond milky for about a day or so (not 5 as stated by coverleaf). After one week I still had lots of string algae. I was disappointed and thinking the treatment wasn't working i decided to apply another dose and wait it out this time. It took about 10 days to dissolve all string algae in my 1100 gallon pond. Did not bother the fish at all. It's been 3 weeks since the treatment and my water is crystal clear. I already reordered more and will not use anything else. Would like to see Cloverleaf making it available for purchase in the US.

My pond has frogs,fish and plants so I am always reluctant to introduce anything that may upset things, especially the fish. However the elodea weed was beginning to get coated in thread algae and the waterfalls had become a curtain of green algae. Hand picking it out proved difficult and effect shortlived so used the Blanket Answer 3 weeks ago. Used 4 scoops of the powder as a conservative estimate of what was needed and within days the waterfalls were free of algae. Now the oxygenating elodea is also free of the stuff and swishing this around has got rid of the debris. The pond lining around the sides is also free of the algae. The pond filter has needed cleaning every three or four days but this is now becoming less of a requirement. The fish are healthy and feeding, the elodea is growing and has needed thinning out and water lilly leaves are growing well. My nervousness of using this product was ill founded and It has done the intended job very well. I recommend it.

My Pond:I have a 5,000 Litre raised pond with a viewing window. The pond is fibreglassed and there is a planted basket above the pond as part of my filtration. I have a bottom drain which feeds into a DIY filter system of 4 large barrels. The first barrel is a settling chamber with a mid mounted pump. Water is pumped to the UV and splits into 2. The first track pumps to a series of 3 barrels above the settling chamber. They contain K1 media. The last barrel overflows to the planter. The second track pumps directly to the planter. The planter has a water blade to maximize oxygenation. There is a self enclosed skimmer/return loop to keep the water surface clean.The Algae:String/blanket algae formed on the pond walls and floor. Eventually it became like a grass on the pond floor and trapped solid waste. The planter became choked up with algae and it was unsightly. Algae built up on the glass and was a pain to clean every week.I avoid using chemicals in the pond, but after research, decided to use BA to solve the algae problem. I poured the treatment into my skimmer loop which mixed the product well in the pond. I poured some into the planter separately. The water turned cloudy white but I could still see my fish through the window. Ponds without a window would not have this advantage and the fish would be hidden. The cloudiness lasted about a week. The algae took a few weeks to fully die off, but it did work. I used a second dose after a month which boosted the treatment. The remainder is a layer of dead brown algae, almost burnt on the pond surfaces. Thankfully I like the look of it.....very natural. A big bonus is that it keeps the glass clean too.Update July 2020:I have continued to use this throughout the year when doing water changes and I am still quite happy with the results. Each water change removes about 800-1,000 litres from the pond when flushing the filter. Once the water level is back to normal, the skimmer is turned on and I use this distribute 2 scoops of product. As the skimmer is on its own it is ideal for dosing the main body of water which will slowly run through the filters thereafter.I do filter flushes once per week in the warmer months and once every 4-6 weeks in colder months as the fish are not feeding when the weather is cold. The 2kg lasted more than a year. I am about to order another 2kg.

I can't say for sure if it was this product but within 24 hours of putting this in the pond i lost my 5 golden orfe, i saw one dead then looked around and found another and over the next two days found the last three, it says you cannot overtreat so i cannot say it was that. All my goldfish,comets and Koi were fine and it did clear the pond but i don't think it agreed with the golden orfe, i also have some golden rudd,very similar to Orfe and they were fine.

Ho provato tanti prodotti anti alghe prima di questo, ma non hanno mai funzionato veramente, questo rimane a parer mio il miglior alghicida sul mercato!!

Off with the rake pulling and manuel labor, nothing better than to mix with water pour and wait. It works great. Very satisfied.

Besitze einen Koiteich,schon zig Mittel getestet aber immer wieder Probleme mit Fadenalgen gehabt.Seit ich diese Mittel einsetze sind die Fadenalgen auf und davon und der Teich ist glasklar.Bereits 4 Jahe im Einsatz.Absolut Empfehlenswert !!!
