From the day this arrived it took a few attempts to ignite each time, and the flame at maximum setting was weak. After a few months it took more and more attempts to get it to ignite, to the point I finally gave up.Fine when it worked, but for the price I expected better. Its replacement from another brand works every time and produces a consistent large flame.

This is an excellent lighter and so well made. You can’t believe the quality until it arrives and you feel how robust and weighty it is. Initially thought it was a bit too expensive when ordering. However I take that thought back. Once it arrived and you see the quality and how well it works you can understand why it’s worth a few pounds more than the rest.

Really like this lighter. It has a good quality feel and easy to adjust the flame and light.

I should have listened to the other reviews. This lighter mostly refuses to light, when it does the flame is tiny even on full power and can not be reduced without an immediate fail. Useless.

Perfect when it works. Unfortunately, stops working very quickly after a refill. Assume leaks. Avoid.

I use this to start my wood stove and fire pit-- it has a great flame, is well built and has a sturdy construction- I would recommend this for any fire starter needs.I have used this for a number of months now and like it more and more. I have been lighting wood stoves for 40 years and this is the best stove lighter I have had-- the very best.Update: After using this for 2 years I am more than pleased with it, the best lighter I have had-- no longer available but if you can find this anywhere else go for it it is great.

This has a nice heft and lights easily. Much easier than the inexpensive ones I used previously.Previous reviewers have commented on difficulty lighting on the first click. This is because it takes a second or two for the gas to get from the valve (under the thumb switch) to the tip where the igniter is. Just pull the thumb switch part way to start the gas flow, wait 1-2 seconds, then fully depress the switch to activate the igniter.Others describe increasing difficulty lighting after several gas fillings. This common to all torch lighters and even expensive cigar torches experience the same issue! The butane gas is propelled by compressed air in the refill canister. As the butane level in the lighter gets low, it is mainly delivering compressed air which of course doesn't ignite. When refilling, most, (like me) don't read all the instructions which actually tell you to hold the fill port uppermost and insert a small screwdriver, pen tip etc. until all the gas (air) is released. Then fill with butane. Works like a charm.

My fault in not getting lighter to work. I corrected problem of MY ERROR and now product works quite well.

Man muss ggf. die Zündelektrode sehr sorgfältig nachjustieren, sollte das Feuerzeug nicht spätestens beim zweiten Versuch zünden, auch die Einstellung der Flammengröße hat darauf Einfluss, aber dann geht's. Mach richtig Spaß damit zu "arbeiten"! Der Schwanenhals ist auch nicht wirklich zu weich. Habe mir noch ein zweites gekauft. Beide sind dicht. Empfehlung.
