Is the astaxanthine from natural source

We use two different sources of astaxanthin. The astaxanthin in AEterna Timeless Beauty is sourced from Israel, the astaxanthin in our other products (SuperPhyte, DLPA Complex and Astaxanthin and Blackcurrant) is sourced from Hawaii and Sweden. With regards to the source, in the case of both raw materials, they are sourced from fresh water algae. Both are tested for microbiological purity and heavy metals including, but not limited to, mercury, lead and cadmium.

Has anyone else noticed a strong chemical - plastic smell with these ?

Yes, there is a strong smell. It's like a plant type of smell, not plastic. Made from Pure Astaxanthin, Tomato powder, Blackcureant fruit extract, Lethicin,  Beta carotene, Rosemary leaf. No colours, flavourings, preservatives, dairy products, gluten, lactose, salt, sugar, wheat or yeast. Best absorbed when taken with a meal containing olive oil or vegetable oil. Slight after taste.

Hello,  Pack of 1 Blackcurrant and Astaxanthin.
Astaxanthin can enter the eye, where it provides antioxidant support to the retina and supports sharp vision.Astaxanthin helps maintain healthy joints by favourably influencing the condition of cartilage.Helps support sharp vision as well as protecting from free radical and UV damage. Take 2  a day, with a meal. 90 caps. Astaxanthin and Blackcurrant capsules. Curranz, does not contain Astaxanthin. Higher Nature is an expensive brand, posh containes and labels. you can buy Astaxanthin seperately, you need to work out which is the cheapest without compromising the quality.  It says on the Higher Nature container, 2 capsules daily;  I always do that for a week or two, to boost my levels and then take one as a maintenance dose. I believe thatwith  all companies, prescription, and vitamins/ supplements , the first tablet/capsule, is to help the patient and the second is for the company's profits. But that is only my theory. Also you can buy fresh and  tinned blackcurrants, that may work out cheaper, at a spoonful a day with yoghurt. I grow my own in my garden, and freeze or bottle them.
