Work very well and arrived in reasonable time.
Arrived in 13 days which, given the price and from Hong Kong was good. PIRs arrived in good condition and I quickly tested 3 of them with an RGB LED. The 3 pins on the device are marked 'Vcc' (the positive supply voltage), 'OUT' & 'GND' ( the negative connection). According to the datasheet (Google "HC-SR501 datasheet") the power supply can be from 5 to 20V dc ( there is a regulator on the board). The 'OUT' pin has a 1000 Ohm resistor in series and a 3.3V output when triggered, so the PIR will dIrectly light a LED dimly, but I added a transistor and 330 Ohm resistor per PIR to brightly light the LEDs from a 6V battery. I found sensitivity of all 3 I tested to be very good, at least 7 Metres and more than 3 with the gain turned right down. With a pot to adjust on time to between 5 and 300 seconds and a stated quiescent current of "<50uA" (which I must test) Very few other components are needed to make some useful gadgets, I'm going to use a couple to drive 12V White LED strips in some cupboards, and, having found are cats trigger them quite well, I might set one up with a buzzer to alert me when a cat is waiting at the garden door :-)

Brilliant goods, brilliant price.
If you are shopping around for naked PIR sensors to play with then stop here. These appear to be good quality, cheap PIR sensors that are the same as the ones you can pay a lot more for elsewhere (Especially at M*****). I brought them for hobby robotics/automata and with pretty minimal electronics knowledge got them working. There are three connections to worry about, but they are simple. The right and left ones are for supplying current (They are marked Vcc[+] and Gnd [-]; the middle one supplies about 5v when it is sensing something. I used a 6v battery supply and connected a LED first and then to an input on an Arduino to make it do something. I guess I could use the Arduino power supply if I wanted to.On the top are adjustable presets for sensitivity and length of output. The device is drilled with two holes for mounting, but be aware that it needs about 10mm of stand-off clearance.

Good value product
Buying 5 was a lot cheaper than going for them individually, so although I did not need all five it was worth going for this deal. They are absolutely fine, well made and easy to connect. The units stand on pillars created by the capacitors used on the boards. and this makes it slightly awkward to connect the pins to prototyping breadboards and the like. Otherwise they are ideal for electronics projects where logic switching is required as the O/P is a 5v line.

good cheap unit
No issues at all - works well with Raspberry Pi and Arduino / Teensy etc. Bout pack of 5 of these and all tested out alright. East to set up the on delay time - minimum is around 5 seconds. For projects - be sure to set a "settling delay" of around 30 seconds to allow the sensor to stabilize after initial power up.
