I empty the minerals into a bowl of hot water with concentrated lemon juice and leave for 30 mins, then put the minerals in a bowl of cold water just swishing around to rinse. The should get rid of limescale deposits. You could use white vinegar also, but I prefer the lemon juice. For the casing I put washing up liquid with hot water and roll up a small microfiber cloth pushing that inside the casing and twist around this should clean the inside. Rinse thoroughly once done
