Really happy with this purchase!! Brought two. fast delivery and the tracking was great. Really friendly delivery driver and helpful.I’m unsure why people said it was difficult to put up. The instructions were fine to follow. no problem with that. I did most of it on my own and partner helped a bit. You can see where it all fits together anyway.We did paint ours. I don’t think you have too but they recommended that if you are painting it to do it before you put them up which we did.The bed is sturdy, looks great. Great space saving area underneath. And most importantly the kids love them! They said it’s very cool and they think it’s all very comfortable. I would recommend.

Looked around for some considerable time to find a bed that would last my Grandson until he moves into his brothers double bedroom. Trying to save space with comfort I found this in the Loft bunk bed. Loft Bunk Bed - Heavy Duty 3ft single wooden high sleeper bunkbed - CAN BE USED BY ADULTSDelivery was quick and well packaged and delivered before the nominated date. The quality was really good, the bed is strong and really easy to put together, my husband followed the pictures whilst I read the instructions.For safety and knowing our grandson we bracketed the bed to the wall. The choice of which end you could place the ladder was really helpful not only helped us avoid the door but the ceiling light too. I chose the higher version because of the space beneath. The delight we had on the reveal of the newly decorated bedroom with new bed was worth all the hard work. " My new bed is AWESOME!" " I have so much more space in my bedroom, now I can do my homework at my desk underneath my bed etc.etc.British workmanship is outstanding well designed and well thought through, all sharp corners are planed down to smooth rounded edges and all pieces are colour coded with red, white and blue chalk marks and numbered on instructions and went together effortlessly.The only problem we had was the centre rail which had several knots in and was weakened and split when being pushed into position. We did not bother to contact the supplier but replaced this at the local DIY store and inspected the piece well (for knots) before purchasing. Apart from that I would highly recommend this product and have already told my friends and family.

This is a good bed for the very low price paid. A great option if you plan on chopping it up for firewood as soon as your child demands a grown-up bed. The bed arrived in bits, a lot of bits. You will need to like DIY and own an allen-key bit for your power driver. I couldn't imagine the blisters you'd get if you used an actual allen-key. The wood is lightweight, not particularly solid, but is fine for purpose. It is all real wood. The loft sleeper we purchased stands on very high legs, with only 3 legs braced halfway. I considered this to be a weak design, so we installed a further brace around the 3 legs, much closer to the floor. We also installed a desk (fixed on 7 steel angle brackets to achieve level surface), shelved out the back and one side, and boarded the back and one side with v groove match boarding. The way the ladder fixes to the bed is badly thought out. We reinforced this with some steel angle brackets. I painted the whole bed with B&Q's own brand satin wood in grey, no undercoat, low odour, dried in an hour and looks amazing on this wood. The way the bumper bars on the top/front fix to the ladder was poor. 1 plasterboard screw! Split the wood as predicted. We wood-glued, pre-drilled and used 2 woodscrews per bar. Much better fixing. Yes I would buy this bed again and yes I would recommend to a friend, but only a friend who is DIY competent. I should think the other designs in the range would be good/better, this one is particularly risky in terms of limited strength by design. It's exactly what I wanted - a good starting point for my DIY project. Much better than the imported rubbish. My son's box-room now has a whopping great desk which he couldn't have had with a normal bed. I believe the seller does sell an option with a desk, but I bought the desk surface from somewhere else. This bed is very tall. Check your ceiling height. We have very high ceilings but I would imagine a child might touch the ceiling in a modern house. So watch out for hot lights above the bed too. My son is nearly 9 so he is ok with the hazards associated. Changing the sheets are a major pain - you have to wrestle the mattress whilst on it. Delivery is very fast, much quicker than Amazon estimate. The bed took a couple of hours to put together. It's a solid bed with plenty of space underneath. Have since ordered another from them.

Great value I think for what you get. You couldn't buy the wood and DIY it for the price, unless you held an account and hefty discount with a supplier.Little bit of a wobble when build, does need securing to the wall really, brackets are provided for this. But due to lack of anything underneath, which I want, hardly surprising it does rock a little as there nothing below to brace it.Gotta Love that smell of fresh pine as well!Shout out to the delivery guys as Well, they were brilliant and great communication. Absolutely fantastic bed, excellent quality perfect for what I wanted will last a very very long time. Only left 3 stars instead of 5 because of the ordeal I had with the delivery, the courier delivered it to the wrong house and left no card to say where it was which meant I had to chase down where it was, when I eventually found where it had been delivered only 2 of the 3 boxes that was supposed to come had arrived I then had to wait another 5 days for the missing pieces to arrive which was the slats that the mattress is supposed to sit on. I can now finish building the bed and my daughter will no longer have to sleep on her mattress on the floor. All I can say is don't go through XDP as a courier if you order anything, avoid them like the plague
