Question 1

I assume that this switch is bi-directional for use with an all in one printer, can this be confirmed, Please?

If I understand what you mean exactly?... the switch enables you to print from two computers using a single printer, at will. The USB from the printer goes into the front slot and then you connect the two PCs via a USB on each machine to the rear slots of the unit;  the two adjacent lamps (left and right marked 1 and 2) on top of the unit indicate whether the left or right machine is connected (to the printer) depending on which is lit. To change which machine is printing you just depress the push button between the two lamps, on top. One lamp goes off and the other lights up, so you can see that the switch has been made. My printer instantly sees which computer connection is live and begins printing from that source. This has been a really handy little device for me and saves me forever having to bend down to unplug one PC and connect the other, when I need to print from two sources. I can even operate the push button (on top of the unit) with my foot, with care, so can switch from one machine printing to the other, and back, almost without delay or effort. A cracking little device. I will probably get another one soon so I have a spare in case the first one goes down for any reason. My printer is an Epson printer/scanner/copier SX535WD if that's any use. I hope this was what you meant.

Will this work on a PC and Apple mac, sharing the same printer?

Yes, it just sends the signal in one of two directions. It doesn't require software or installing so will work with any operating system.

Can I use this to switch 1 keyboard between 2 computers.

I don't know. I use it for a desktop (windows 10) and  laptop computer (windows xp) to an Epsom all in one  printer and the combination works ok.

Question 4

Will this unit switch a USB 2.0, 10 port hub between two computers, or can it only switch a single item (i.e. printer, scanner etc)?

Not sure about the complexities of a 10-port hub via the switch, but I think it should - USB traffic is USB traffic - currently I have a wireless keyboard/mouse through a Logitech receiver and this is the "input" to the switch via a single USB.  The two 'outputs' go to two separate computers.  I would imagine that any USB input is just routed to either output - whatever the data traffic is should work based on standard USB protocols.  Not a definitive answer, but I would expect it to work.  Note the only thing material is that outputs two are both via the older square form plugs, not modern flat USB's - I think I made this clear in my product review at the time.  It's been perfect to date and works very well
