I bought this kit mainly because of the crimping tool, stripper and the tester which I needed for Surveillance system installation at my property. They all proved to be very very helpful and working just as hoped.CRIMPNG TOOL- used to crimp a very thick CAT6A SFTP cable and shielded RJ45 connectors. It works a charm and I haven't damaged a single connector. It has a nice sprung mechanism, prevents from pressing too hard and crushing the connector.STRIPPER- It's very sharp and stripped thick rubber cable coating and the external shield withing secondsTESTER TOOL- it simply tests each PIN (1 to 8 + GROUND) and a red or green LEDs flash to indicate if the PIN is ok.- one issue I found was it didn't quite work when testing GND. The LED didn't flash at all- it was especially helpful during my installation due to the long distance between each end of the cableWhole kit is nicely packed in a carry-on case.Really worth the money

Some bits feel very cheap but everything works okay. Cut, crimped & tested a cat5 cable in a few minutes without any problems. Everything has its place so easy to spot if you've not put something back. Not tried the punch down tool, that's one item that may not last. Not sure I'd recommend for professional constant use but good enough for my home needs at the price point.

This was bought essentially for the cable tester which has been very useful. First successful cable produced and tested in half an hour. Minor 'niggles' are that the useful instructions are printed in black and white (we have 8 coloured cables to connect here!) and that the provided connectors are of a type where the cores do not pass through the connector to be cut to length on crimping. This means the core lengths must be quite short to allow the outer sheath to be held within the connector body - easy with a flat-form RJ11 4 wire connection, much harder with RJ45 8 wire round-form cable.The tester is well arranged and has been very useful putting in a cabled connection into every room. As it can be split (so part of the tester is at each end of the cable) it is possible to test the installed cable easily.I haven't used all of the provided tools yet but they seem to be reasonable

Lot batter Quality than I was expecting. I have had these kits before but not from this supplier. The Cable tester is a bit flimsy but will do the job if needed. The tools are actually good quality. Only had this a few weeks so time will tell if they hold up. To be honest though even if they break at around 12 months old its not big financial hit to but again.

Perfect starter set for me as I delve into making my own CAT cables. Quality of tools are fine for ad hoc use - the connectors are a little flimsy, but I've used it without issues. Well stored in own wallet. Needs a square battery for the cable tester.

I bought this tool kit and used every item and unfortunately the punch tool didn't work I then contacted apollo and they responded within hours to send me another one, I found these items to be of high standard and would highly recommend them. I'll be buying more tools from apollo in the future.

I needed a new zip case, crimping pliers and krone pnch so, I bought this kit. I wasn't expecting to much in terms of "quality" but, having said that, I was quite surprised.OK, there are a few things that are "wrong" with it.. The cable tester works well but, it feels a little "cheap". Not really an issue as the case accepts my old one.The screwdrivers are "OK" but, time will tell.I would like to have seen a tube for holding cable ties. Already have one so, not a problem for me.Some of the tools included are for co-ax and not cat5 installations. No problem if, like me, one of your hobbies is radio, although I would have preferred a small wire cutter and/or pliers in their place.All in, there is some room for improvement(?) but, it's a decent kit at a very fair price point.You could easily pay more and get less..Would recommend

I wanted to replace the phone cables with cat5e and after reading many reviews finally settled on this to crimp the RJ45 jacks. I didn't really have high hopes on it, but oh boy this worked really well.Having never crimped a single RJ45 jacks in my life, I had to figure out how to use this as there are no instructions. I finally found a video on YouTube of someone using a similar kit. Just followed those steps.The first jack crimp failed the network cable test. The second onwards all went well. Even the RJ45 jacks that came with them are better than the Klien tools ones I purchased. I would highly recommend this product based on my experience.

Ordered this for work and home. Easy to use, it’s great I love it
