Q: Can I use this on a Mini Cooper hatch?

The model/ version of soft rack we have fitted, can only be fitted to cars with 4 doors. If you have a 2 door car you will need to get a different version.

Q: Can I use this for my kayak?

I use it to transport my 11ft sea kayak and never had any problems with it at all. You will need a 4 door car through or at least have back windows that open.

Q: Will this fit a 2009 BMW 5 series?

Most definitely. The straps used to fix to the roof are long which allow some room for adjustment

Q: I need to use in Italy to transport a kayak, it was iso certified?

We've found it okay to use 2 kayaks, the straps are very long so tie the left over lengths to the handles on our kayaks for extra security. We've also got roof bars that run the lengths of the car which does help support them. If you are going for a long trip though I would personally look at the metal ones if you can.
