Air Hogs Dr1 Micro Race Drone

Brilliant little drones, easy to fly and easily my kids favourite Xmas present. I have two kids buzzing these around the house most days now and they keep thinking up new games to play against each other. They race them plenty but they also set out little landing pads around the room and compete to see who can fly to each pad, land and take off again the quickest. I didn't think the novelty would last so long with my two but nearly a month on they are still being played with every day.It's also worth saying that my kids aren't in any way 'expert' pilots yet so these little drones have taken a fair share of knocks, bumps and crashes and they just keep on going.

Bought as a present, as a little taster of the hobby i think this is quite good, it's not exactly high performance so don't expect anything other than a bit of fun.

Excellent little drone. Fast and fun and has survived numerous crashes. I bought it for indoor practice as I have a Hubsan 501ss large drone for outdoor use. I would advise anyone starting out with droning to buy one like this. The controls are the same as the big ones and the confidence it gives you is ideal to help prevent crashing your expensive one.

Nice for getting used to flying, very twitchy controls though so I have to be careful of hitting the ceiling and lights etc. This is only a cheap toy and as such don't expect long flight times and fancy gps and such, it is still good fun though :)

Purchased for my 8yo son, perfect size and he manages to fly ok. Having tried myself, it responds much better than my eldest son's (different make). So, I am very pleased.

Bought this for a Christmas present, but there is no controller included. It was not until I read the small print of the tech specs that it said "not included". But nowhere does it say where to get a controller from! Good job I looked before wrapping it up!

Item was clearly a returned item, damaged box. No good as a Christmas present. I like Amazon, but frankly there are a lot of other on line retailers that are more reliable and just as competitively priced. Not good enough. I will be charging Amazon for wasting my time, £1.50 / minute plus fuel needed to drive to a drop off point.

I bought this for my son. He absolutely loves it. He spends hours playing and charging. Really great little bit of kit.My only criticism would be that the battery life is awful. I mean utterly awful. He plays for maybe 10minutes. If that. And then has to recharge the drone.But once it’s up in the air it’s a great practice drone.
