CQR Tactical Belt, Military Style Heavy Duty Belt, Webbing EDC Quick-Release Buckle

I've had this belt for almost 3 years. I've worn it daily since new and I'm a building superintendent and a german shepherd dog owner, so this belt does a lot of work - I hang my keys from it and it supports my work pants which themselves are loaded daily with dog toys, phone etc on long active walks. Plus my job which is also active with lots of bending, lifting, etc. This belt has held up amazingly well. Very comfortable due to the fact you can adjust it precisely - no compromise to the nearest hole. Would give this 6 stars if I could - for the money the value is off the charts plus it's the best belt I've ever had. Never cut mine so I had no issue with fraying - I just pull the buckle to one side or the other so the long end fits an inch or so past the belt loop on the other side and it's never been a problem that way. But three years in and this belt still does not need replacing. Amazing. Pic is from today.

First, these are not heavy duty. They will roll over if weight is put on them. They are heavy enough to wear everyday and hold your pants up. They do appear well made and very adjustable. They were worth the purchase.

CQR makes a good belt and it appears to be fairly well made but I do have some criticisms.I also own several web belts from Spec Ops which have all given me excellent service for many year, so I’ll be comparing the CQR belt to the ones I have from Spec Ops.The reason I went with CQR, this time around, is that I needed a navy blue belt and Spec Ops simply doesn’t offer one in that color, so the choice was actually made for me.The Spec Ops belt is a made in USA product.The CQR belt is labeled China.Both belts are made from 1.5” nylon webbing but the webbing on the CQR belt appears to be slightly thinner than the webbing on the Spec Ops belt.That makes the CQR belt feel softer and more limp.It’s not necessarily a bad thing if you only need the belt to hold your pants up but if you want a belt to attach anything to, like a holster, then I believe a thicker material with more stiffness is better.The stitching on the CQR belt is adequate and neatly done but there’s more and better stitching on the Spec Ops belt and you can clearly see that the Spec Ops is better built.The plastic buckles on both belts look similar but the Spec Ops buckle securely holds the webbing when only one side is inserted through the buckle. That’s impressive and convenient when adjusting your clothing/uniform.The CQR buckle does not hold the webbing securely unless both sides of the buckle have the webbing threaded through the buckle and I found that to be an unnecessary inconvenience.Who wants to take extra time just to adjust their belt?Not me, but I have to with the CQR belt.I normally purchase belts sized for a 38 inch waist even though I’m a 36.I purchased the CQR belt in size X-LARGE and did the same for the Spec Ops belt.The Spec Ops belt was considerably longer out of the package and needed to be cut to size.The CQR was an exact fit and was wearable right out of the package.The CQR belt is less expensive than the Spec Ops belt but spending more gets you a USA manufactured product which performs better and I believe will last longer.The CQR belt is still a good product, particularly for the price and I expect to get good service from it for many years.I may indeed purchase another CQR belt but given the choice between CQR and Spec Ops I’ll pick the Spec Ops.

I used these in XXL length to convert pool noodles into snorkel belts for use at the pool or the beach. The combination worked great, was cost effective, and the belts seem well stitched with strong buckles that hold well. Good product.

I didn’t expect a high quality belt for this price but it is a work belt that is going to get greasy and oily. The buckle is hard to use. You pull it to where you want but as soon as you try to loop it back it loosens. That being said you have to tighten tighter than normal because it will loosen when you go through the second loop.After about a month the belt frayed to the point it wouldn’t go through the second loop. I had to get a pair of scissors to trim the end then melt the frayed end to fit through the loop.That being said it isn’t a dress belt so I can deal with the flaws. I expect to get a few more months out of it before I retire it.

Actually better quality than expected for the price. The right amount of stiffness and professional look. I use it for a sheathed parang when working outside. Looks great with my desert DPM British kit.

Infinitely adjustable, stretch is just right, easy to put on jeans, loops are large enough on Duluth for this belt. Width is firm and well made. Transferring to other smaller loop slacks or going through airport is only minutes to reassemble.

This is called a tactical belt. I cannot imagine anyone carrying a gun in a holster using this belt. It is too thin, has no rigidity to properly support a firearm. I purchased this as an everyday belt / not for carrying a firearm and found it to be flimsy. Also it is too large based on size guidelines for use without a holster. I have a 32 waist and purchased a medium resulting in too much excess belt flopping over. You would need the extra length if using a holster but clearly I would not recommend for carrying a firearm. I returned belt.
